4BW aftermarket wheel upgrade to 19” questions

Hey guys, figure I’ll post this question here as the group is far more likely to have the expertise I’m looking for.

I want to get 19” wheels for my 4BW. Specifically Stance SF10’s. I want to maintain near stock clearances though I am ok with, perhaps prefer to fill the wheel well a bit more and have the wheel flush with the fenders.

The stock tire combo is;
Front: 255/35ZR18
Rear: 275/35ZR18

To maintain near exact tire size/height in 19” would be;

Front: 255/30R19
Rear: 275/30R19

Where I get lost is in wheel offset and tire choices that aren’t exactly the above choice.

Stance Wheels actually shows a CT4V with the wheel I want on their website but the wheel fitment and tire that I think I see is different and I’m concerned about clearance with turning.

Attached are the promo photos from Stance and the Offset they supposedly used. What does everyone think regarding clearance and if there is a better choice for tire size and/or offset?

Lastly, for those that have gone up to 19” wheels what size wheels (width, offset) and tires did you go with and is there any rubbing? What tire brand and how’s the ride quality with the shorter sidewall?

Have you looked at Apex? I'm super impressed with the wheels they make and JJ is very helpful on fitment. JJ handles the wheels for GM cars/fitment. They have a 19x9.5 et22 and 19x10.5 et45 which should fit just like my 18s (18x9.5 et22 and 18x10 et42). The stock tires fit well on a 10in wheel, but I plan on going 10mm wide F & R on tires when I need replacements (stock is 0.5in narrower than what I got from Apex)

The photos are the GM spec PS4s that came with the car. I plan going to 265s and 285s

If you're not a fan of Apex, hopefully these photos at least help you grasp how the offsets will fit.

I agree go with Apex. They have tested fitments for the car and the tire sizes you want to run and they're damn good wheels.

Leave the Stance wheels for Hyundai Sonata owners.

Since Stance would custom make the offsets, I'd shoot for 19x.9.5 Face 2 with +15 fronts and 19x9.5 Face 2 with +30 rears. 255 or 265/30R19 up front and go 285 or 295/30R19 rears.

This is helpful thank you.

I know Apex is the preferred wheel choice here but none of them speak to me. I really like the tech bronze wheel that is OEM except I don’t like the bronze look and I want to upsize to 19”. I don’t think I can make the 5BWs tech bronze wheel work as I think they’re too wide.

The other wheel I have found that I like is the

ADV10.0 - M.V2 - CS SERIES

I can definitely get them in any spec I want, and in a color I want. But they’re extremely high priced.

The stock 5BW specs of 19x10 +20 and 19x11 +50 are actually perfect fitment for the 4BW. Just have to downsize the front tires to 275/30R19 since the stock 5BW 275/35R19s are too tall (rub on the strut). Rear 305/30R19s work fine and fits.

Look up Nick Klotz in FB and he has access to alot of wheel manufacturers, Stance and Apex plus a bunch more. He can spec you out something based on budget.

VFC Performance makes OEM style Cadillac wheels in custom offsets and finishes. They are popular in drag racing scene for beadlocks but will make monoblocks of whatever you want.

Another vote for Apex here. I couldn't be much happier with mine.
Also to the OP, the original images you shared are not of a BW FYI. If you're using the images to try and guage offsets and fit, that isn't the best solution to use.

Yeah I realized that is a V not a BW, this is another part of the problem.

I’m going to look at the VFC performance stuff and see if I can get an OEM wheel like shown above in a 19” and anthracite/dark gray. Otherwise I may look again at the VS-5RS as I really like their anthracite color/finish. I don’t absolutely love the fully perpendicular view as it appears like a very simple split 5 star wheel but I do like it a lot in any side profiles as the concavity and additional elevation change of each spike adds a more aggressive look.

If you like the traditional BBS look that the OEM Bronze wheels are, have you looked at Apex EC-7

They don’t speak to me in the gallery photos on their site or when I’ve photo shopped them onto a car my color etc. The BMW mesh wheels I liked are the more recent more sharp angle pointed star mesh style. But again, I haven’t liked the look of them on my car when I’ve photoshopped em.

I’m trying to hit the Goldilocks zone between looking a bit boring to me and looking like I think I have a lambo with an ostentatious wheel. All personal style obviously. I haven’t replaced a wheel on a car I’ve had in decades as typically I never find that spot on the car I drive at the time. I’m trying to change that lol

yeah wheel aesthetics is such a personal thing. I totally get it. Most of the Apex wheels look similar and in general a style languages I like. Knowing you like the m3 mesh wheels (826 or 827) is very helpful in understanding you personal taste. They aren't my cup of tea, but that design style is liked by many people. Too bad G80s are 5x112 instead of 5x120, I would guess the fronts would fit but rears would definitely need a huge spacer (3/4in thick one)
