Picked up my 26 CT5V BW about a month ago now after waiting on allocation and finally ordering it. Noticed the intake on these cars is absolute garbage and didnt want to spend $700+ on a new one. Im not being cheap by any means, but honestly did this just to see if I could do it.
From just a basic print prototype to final design, the entirety is 127+MM at its smallest point to the TB ( 99mm ) everything was sanded smoothed and clear coated. I was obviously limited on my print bed to 256MM so I had to print in two parts hense the seam in the middle, but it overlaps smoothly 5MM inside and was glued very well + sanded again.
Im sure I gained a few horse ponies from this, didnt tune or anything before and after but im sure it helped more than hurt it.
I have also Attached an image of the car, 2026 Typhoon M6, with Sky Cool Interior, Red Seat Belts, Bronze Wheels and Calipers, with Black accents, had the roof wrapped black when my buddy did a COMPLETE PTF wrap on the entire car.
2000 Miles on her so far been a blast.
Edit- The prototype with the tape was very rough, the final design is longer to get closer to the filter box and the elbow going into the throttle body was made bigger and way smoother of a transition compared to the prototype so dont let that sharp 90 fool you in the pictures its nowhere near as bad as it looks.
