Please pardon if this has been asked before: Has anyone fitted a square setup of 18x10 wheels on a CT4VBW? I know that Apex sells an 18x9.5 setup with different offsets for the front/rear, but I haven't found any references to an 18x10.
Here's my use case...and why I want to run a square setup if possible: I run the One Lap of America event, and the rules allow you to carry 1 spare wheel/tire with you if you're running a square setup, and 2 spares if you're running a staggered setup.
As a driver, I like a square setup. I've been driving track events for 20+ years in a lot of different cars, and I've changed to square setups on several cars that came from the factory staggered. I've had very good luck, including my current Mk5 Supra. Logistically, I don't want to carry 2 wheels/tires, as I have to pack for a week+ in the car, and even in a sedan like the BW, space is a premium.
My desired setup would be stock suspension, 18x10 with 275/35/18 at all corners, aggressive alignment per the owners manual. I'm willing to trim/clearance the fender liners a little, etc. I know this is breeze for the rear, but can it be done in the front without significant modification?
Even if I'm limited to a 9.5" wide front wheel, how does the 275/35 fit?
