I DD'd my BW for a year. 150 miles a day 4 days a week. I was filling it up every other day.
I wouldn't have changed anything. I probably would have gotten another car to swap between them (out of necessity, not because I didn't want to drive the BW).
I just made up my mind I was going to be...
I posted this in another thread. Mind you I had a 5 not a 4 so perhaps the driving dynamics might be a little different.
As another side note. The 911's power is definitely more usable on normal roads as well.
Not trying to take anything away from the 911. It's a fantastic car.
I've taken...
Damn really? I mean I can understand the performance aspect but everything else is just not there.
So many complain about the build quality of newer BMW's. The screens EVERYWHERE.
I could never get over the styling (both interior and exterior) but I guess to each their own as they say.
At...
Yeah I literally can't get with the new BMW design choices. Not a single BMW right now looks good to me. Maybe the M8. But that's still a hard pass for me.
Not trying to take anything away from the 911. It's a fantastic car.
I've taken this thing to the mountains quite a few times and the control and capability of the car is insane.
I never slow down for entry/exit ramp turns. I actually accelerate in to them because the grip levels are...
Yeah I did something similar. I sold the BW and got a 911.
Truth be told the 911 is exciting to drive. But it's not a BW. I think about that car every day and 100% regret selling it.
If I wasn't in the process of selling my house and moving across the country I'd strongly consider getting...
When I had my BW, I bought a 2023 M550. The car was wicked fast, super comfy and quiet on the inside.
BUT it just did everything without any drama at all. Yeah it was a great daily but good lord was it boring.
Sold it to Carmax after only owning it for 4 months and made the BW my daily. The...
It's ok. I did something similar. Owned mine for a year and then switched over to a 911. I absolutely love the CT5VBW and if I needed the 4 doors I'd still have it.
But honestly I get more out of the 911 than the BW. I can utilize more of the cars performance without going straight to jail. lol
I see this daily out here in Cali. I spend 4hrs a day on the road and I swear reporting police in waze causes people to slow down before they even see a car sitting on the side of the road.
Everyone will be driving at 80mph (some over) and all of a sudden waze reports police ahead and you see...
yeah I find myself hitting the "Not There" button a lot on my trips. It seems like people are reporting police that aren't there or they see that they've been flagged and move to another spot but I'm definitely seeing that half the time there aren't any police where people are reporting them.
Retired from the Navy after 24yrs as an IT.
Now doing Cyber as a contractor for the government
It's funny how similar the civilian sector is to the military when it comes to dealing with people in decision making positions. It's like I never left lol.
At the end of the day, you're the one that's going to be looking at your car in your garage/driveway/parking spot so who cares what others think. If you like/love it. Do it.
My detailer recommended I go matte on my 911, and I wasn't entirely sold. I stopped by and he dropped a sheet on the...
Oh I don't doubt that modern radar detectors provide some sort of safety. But modern speed guns don't just point at one singular vehicle either. It would be up to the cop to decide who gets the ticket if you're in a pack of people all going over the speed limit.
I'm on the 15 north and south...
