Saw a white 5BW on I95 North near Bridgeport CT this morning with the plate LASTGAS. Unfortunately I was in my boring daily GTI so we couldn't go for a short BW cruise. First one I've seen in person where the driver actually knew how to drive it, it was cool seeing that thing pull away and...
Well, I guess no car can stay perfect forever. I completely zoned out while parked in a parking garage while I was typing my destination into Google Maps. Turns out the spot I was in was sliiiiiiightly slanted backwards and I rolled back incredibly slowly and tapped the concrete wall behind me...
Mercedes have some awful build quality right now. As mentioned above I had a 2020 C63S coupe and a 1995 M3 at the same time. The interior of that generation of 3 series is known for basically disintegrating over time. Which car do you think rattled and buzzed less on the interior?
I sold my C63S to buy my Blackwing. Almost all of OP's complaints about their CLA 45 can also be made about the C63S. Bad interior quality, harsh suspension, transmission wasn't great, turbo lag with the engine, pretty numb steering. The V8 sounded pretty good, but the rest of the car left a lot...
This is exactly what I was going to suggest too. Save some money and get a Golf R. I daily a GTI and the hatchback is just so practical, especially if you have to fit it into a tight parking spot on the street. Too bad VW screwed up the interior of the new generation with all the touchscreen BS...
I like the old front end better. I liked how the vertical running lights were broken up a bit, it gave the illusion the lights kind of dipped back behind the bumper and then came back out. There was a sense of depth to it. Also, not a fan of those black plastic strips that curve down from the...
Not shocked that Delaware Cadillac was still trying to squeeze a markup out of these cars. I remember when they posted in the MSRP thread claiming they were an MSRP dealer when all their 5BW's had a $25k markup on them.
In addition to that thread, I believe SavageGeese mentioned there is piped in engine noise in one of their reviews of the car. And those guys always get into the weeds with the details and engineering behind the cars they have.
If there wasn't any engine noise coming through the speakers I...
Adds about $8k to the price of the car, which people might not realize or have right away when they buy the car. But even then it's no guarantee, I had a few rock chips go through PPF on my hood and leave deep gashes in the paint.
