I don’t have a problem with going hybrid on the Blackwing. Only if it sounds like the IMSA Lemans car when it goes from electric to ICE. That thing sounds like the Deathstar is fire up when it transitions. 😮💨
You can atleast adjust the slip on tips on the Corsa ones and push them further in. Slash tips definitely looks better than the straight cut ones. I bought straight cut CF tips since those were the only available ones. The way the diffuser angles in definitely doesn’t help.
Also, when installing the valves in, if your clip falls off, test fitting it in first and flip the clip orientation 180°. One way will long the bolt holes for the screws more than the other. Think one reasoning people are having exhaust CEL is because of that. Or the clip fell off, stuck in...
Tucking the tips in more makes them not stick out as a sore thumb as much. That’s the only beauty of the slip on connection, you can push them pretty far in. But, that means you’d have to play with aligning the 4 tips again and you know how much fun that is. ☠️
Yeah, so best bet to shoot for the same overall diameter compared to stock. My rule of thumb is always close to stock but never over 3% difference. I use a wheel offset calculator and tire calculator to figure out what is stock and compare the sizes im going for. For the most part, my specs...
Hard to get a really good dished wheel because of the high offsets and large brakes in for the rear. Fronts, you can get dish for days but itll look wonky not matching the rear.
I'm running 20x10.5 +13j and 20x12 +50j.
Probably dead since you cant integrate the flex sensor in the engine bay like in the older LT and LS. Joys of Global B encrypting most of the canbus connections.
There's no springs in the flap. They dont have a spring that defaults them to a certain position when the electronic valves arent mated. The stock electronic valves control them fully. The stock electronic valve actually defaults to open when power is off.
What gets most folks are either...
Contact KNSBrakes, tell them what you want most (ie low brake dust as priority) and theyll give you options. I went thru them 2+ yrs ago, ended up with Hawk Ceramics. I imagine there's more options now since we werent 100% whats fully compatible then with these brakes.
$40K just for the engine, then you still got fueling to worry about. Definitely gonna need port injection. Then finding a shop to trust to build and tune it.
The twitchiness is probably based on how much rear toe it has. Happen to have a print out of your current alignment specs? Also, unless you're tracking it heavily, I wouldnt want to run -2.5 for the front. Probably shoot for the -1.5 front and -1 rear for a more street care setup.
First question is if its fixable. Can it be patched or plugged? Id fix it first before anything else.
If you decide to replace, depends on which tire it is. Is it the cup2s or the PS4 tires. If cup2s, I'd replace the pair since 2,100 on cup2 in the rear, it would already have some wear on...
Somebody I know just went thru this. He took the car in for a switch and a door pad replacement. PDR recorded the techs joy riding the car and doing WOT pulls on atleast 2 occasions, practicing how to drive stick, and just free revving the car. Dealership asked him to not sue or post the...
