CT5-V Blackwing 6-sp (2022) surging during normal driving

How did you convince them to do the work? My local dealer won't do it unless they can replicate the problem (which I understand, but that means potentially keeping my car for days or weeks)

    Square All-Seasons and 1-1.5” Lift?

I'm Seattle area. Have had my 5BW since Nov '21, so two full winters. It's my daily (relatively speaking, I commute 3 days a week and use the XT5 for everything else) and gets driven pretty much whatever the weather is. For whatever reason, I've had considerably less issues in this than I did...

People with the Sky Cool Gray seats; any regrets?

15k miles on mine. I used 303 Leather quite a lot early on. Pretty much every 2 weeks. Since then maybe every other month now. This photo is from Oct 2023, the red cast is legit, seemed to be dye transfer from a red flannel I've got. Have since cleaned it off. The 303 Leather cleaner does a...

I see a lot of people not liking the sunroof option

Mine's my daily driver first and track second. I personally really enjoy having a sunroof, so mine has it. That said, I absolutely don't fit in a 4BW with a sunroof. Helmet againt on the roof. Luckily in the 5 it's fine. It's a consideration if you plan to track it.

    Fender Bender

Suspension components aside, get a quote from a paintless dent repair shop if the damage isn't too much. I had something very similar happen and all of the traditional shops were estimating $4k-$6k, they were going to repaint the entire rear portion of the car including blending through the...

    Winter Wheels and Tires

+1 for this option. It's not exactly what y'all are looking to do but my winter tires are on the OEM wheels and summers on Signature wheels. No messing around with spacers or clearance concerns.

East w/ bowl today. East long course tomorrow. Number of laps is more or less time dependent. A faster group will get more laps. But give or take about 12 laps total per session? Get PPF today!!

I have the equivalent of the track pack on mine. If I had gone full coverage it could have even been a cost savings in the long run. I got side swiped, and though paintless dent repair and buffing largely fix it. But PPF would have kept this simply at dent removal.

    CT5 Tier 2 vs Tier 3 interior

I've got 2 years on mine (well, in a couple of weeks) Mid level Sky Cool Grey. Daily driver, about 1.5 hours of seat time per day. 13k miles. Initially I was very worried about dye transfer. I used 303 leather complete care on it weekly (or at least every other week). I haven't cleaned the...

CT5-V Is this how every console is?

My CT5 is fine, but my Chevy Volt totally had the exact same problem. Just wasn't quite clipped in from the factory. Like ukcats12 said, seems par for the course. There's so many different small attachment points/clips/etc... something somewhere is probably gonna get missed.

Is the FULL semi-aniline interior worth it?

I did not get semi-analine as the carbon delete was not an option when I ordered, and CF seat backs were on constraint. If the CF delete was available I would have done it without question. That said... I'm perfectly happy with my midlevel interior as well. Quite frankly, I think the mid level...

CT4-V Track alignment for daily driving

CT5 not 4, but I have mine permanently set up 1.7 in front and 1.5 in rear. It's equally non optimal for both street and track 🙃 But it's my daily so I don't want to run street alignment the few days a year that I'm on track, nor do I want to have the harsh(er) ride or tire destroying track...
