OK. You're hearing clipping. Basically the audio is too loud for the camera's audio processor and it can't handle it. There's way too much road noise, wind noise, and sweet, glorious exhaust noise. All combined, it blows out the audio processing of the camera, and that's pretty much that...

If it sounds like static, and it gets worse as the volume of noise gets louder, then there's nothing that can be done with the recording equipment in the car. But I want the OP to explain what he's hearing.

What do you mean by "electronic noise"? Does it sounds like static, almost?

@poor-sha let me drive his 5BW for about 45 minutes one Saturday afternoon before I pulled the trigger on ordering mine. I was probably going to anyway, but that fun little rip sealed the deal.

The problem with that idea is that the CF version is robust enough to deal with high pressure and can create down force at speed. Anything that shape and made of plastic is going to deform horribly and likely cause problems with the car.

I assume you're going to attempt to mimic the OEM's "V" pattern in the front splitter with your aftermarket one?

I've always kept my OnStar subs on all of my GM vehicles, I just generally push for the lowest-end "Safety" one, whichever that is. I don't need help with navigation stuff, or any of the other silly add-ons. But the safety? Sign me up. One night, many, many moons ago, I got into an awful car...

With the deflectors, it might be less of a "savings" thing and more of a "hey, you can actually ship them?" thing. They're currently on backorder everywhere with no availability estimates.

Thanks. That's an unfortunate waste of time and/or money. But it looks like I haven't much choice if I want those deflectors.

Wow. I had to order the 5BW fender flares from GMPartsGiant because partsdirect had them as "back ordered" and wouldn't even let me put them on a list. Day later, the former canceled my order because they had no idea when they'd get the parts in. This is fun...

Me on Summit Point over eight years ago, in my 2010 ZR1. Turn the volume way up. Listen to the engine stutter a bit as I start my turn-in to turn 10. BRRRRT. That misfire is the PTM doing its thing. If you're getting that on the road, then you're asking for trouble.

I know how the PTM modes are selected. I'm trying to understand what he thinks I meant by "activated" in my earlier post. I don't think he understands what I meant. Just for clarity: I want to know how he (or anyone else) knows that PTM is actually doing its thing while driving on the road...
