When I change the collision alert menus from alert and brake to just alert then stop and restart the car all settings return to alert and brake. Anyone have a fix for this? Thanks.

I replaced engine oil, diff fluid and manual transmission fluid for the first time at about 1500 miles. Having the exhaust set on quietest mode will technically reduce performance but you will probably never notice.

From all the chassis dyno runs on these cars I have seen on the web I’m pretty convinced that the 5 BW is underrated by GM. I think about 700 crank HP is more accurate.

Sounds like your charger may not be charging or maintaining and the battery got low enough to trip the light then got charged back up again when you drove the car. I would test the charger or replace it.

Looks like strong numbers. Did you dyno the first motor?

Totally depends on whether your plus one is a car enthusiast or not. If not, it will be quite boring for them honestly. The amenities are nothing stellar, just a small pool, workout room and restaurant. On the other hand, if they are a car enthusiast, the classroom sessions will be interesting...

Love the sound of my 5 BW but not the droning rear tire noise on the highway. Has anyone come up with a soundproofing solution to this?

Here is what I do: Engine air filter and cabin air filter- replace once a year Engine oil & filter - replace every 5-7k miles Auto/manual transmission- replace every 40k miles Rear differential- replace every 40k miles Your opinion may vary.

Hold down traction control button for about 10 seconds until both traction control and stability control lights come on. This turns both off fully and can be done in any drive mode. The various PTM modes never turn both off fully but lights do come on because by law the light must come on...

Recommend having the dyno operator advise you. I’m sure this is a common question.

Has anyone taken delivery of a 2026 5 BW with the 6 speed MT? If so, did they add blind spot monitoring back in? This was missing on 2025 models.
