That sounds like the best bet! It definitely loosens up once the car is warm. I never even thought about just skipping to third. I mean I’m only in second for less than a minute after leaving my home anyhow. Thanks for the tip!
No it doesn’t grind per se. But definitely takes force. All of the other gears never require that kind of force. I’ve googled it and I guess it’s pretty common, so I’ll stop worrying unless it actually becomes a problem.
That must be it then. It is definitely getting colder up here in the mountains.
How do you handle it? I don’t feel great about feeling like I’m forcing it. Does idling for a minute and doing some shifting in place help?
Yo folks. I’m a little over 8k miles and my gears are really sticky going from 1st to 2nd before the car gets warmed up. Just curious if anyone else is having an issue like that.
I don’t want to have to bring it in to the dealership if I can help it, but sometimes its really hard getting into...
That’s rough!
I got my first ticket in ten years just a couple weeks ago.
I was cruising up I-80 just past the speed traps East of Auburn, and this Explorer cuts me off by getting in the fast lane going 55mph. So frustrated, as soon as I could pass him I did so and punched it… well, it was a...
there is a thread where a guy shows step by step how he built an enclosure for a subwoofer for that extra space on the rear side of the trunk, and another where a guy shows how he built one replacing the floor of the trunk (similar to mine).
How easy any of it is depends on your expertise...

My guess is that because the Caddy has 16 speakers, that they’re all pretty small except for the 6x9s. So the amplifier used to push them is likely not very powerful.
The reason many people have found that fading the sound slightly to the rear of the car sounds better is probably because it...
I found the solution.
Add an aftermarket subwoofer in the trunk. 😂😎
I just picked my car up from the Mo Music in Reno and just the one sub made a huge difference. (He was able to replace the “spare tire” foam insert and flooring cover with a custom floor box set up that didn’t require any...
it seems like a simple fix. I’ll just remove the unit, put some foam along the edges and put it back on. I’m only concerned that it’ll affect the warranty if it doesn’t work or it gets worse and I have to take it in.
Noticed a squeaking coming from the unit above the rearview while on my way down to Parumph a few weeks back. The squeaking stops if I put my hand on it.
You guys think this is something I can/should take it in to the dealership for, or something I should just fix myself?
Day two I’m sending it. Timidity gone and I’m driving it like I would my own car. Man it’s such a difference…. It’s made today SOOOOOOOOOOOOO much fun.
Well, after the first day I’m a bit ashamed. I don’t know why, but I was so much more timid than when I’m driving my own car on the mountain roads.
maybe because I’m a bit intimidated by being on an actual racetrack, or maybe it’s because I feel the pressure of being judged, or because I’m...
Manual because I want to feel like I’m actually driving the car, not like the car drives itself while I just steer. Having driven automatic for such a long time prior to buying this Caddy, doing so is just boring to me. I haven’t had this much fun driving since I was in my 20s and was driving a...
Anybody gonna be there this Sunday through Tuesday? I’ll be checking in sometime in the late afternoon. I hope I’m. It the only one bringing their beauty with them. Oh, and I’m bringing my wife too. 🤣
