    Order Question

and the allocation is dependent on dealer size (for example, Sewell in Dallas is a high volume dealer and gets a lot of BWs, my small-town dealer gets 1 or 2 a year) and your build has impact.... non carbon fiber cars are easier to get allocations for

    Order Question

AKA.... 1100 status. Many many of us sat for months (I was 11, others longer) at 1100 waiting for an allocation. Here is the full list: • 1100, Preliminary order accepted (This means your dealer has entered your order into their system but does not mean they have the allocation to submit the...

    The Blackwing Spotting Thread

Blue 5 on Jimmy Buffet Memorial Hwy in Daytona - hood was up, a bunch of folks mulling around it. I also saw a TON of C7 and C8 Z06s in Daytona and on 95... must have been a cars and coffee or event.

Curated by Cadillac - Hand built CT5BW

5 BW manual fill up after a Florida (flat) road trip, medium traffic, mostly cruise control at 70-75. It was a bit optimistic.... pulled out of the gas station and it dropped pretty quickly to 340 if I recall.

CT5-V Blackwing: Slight Yaw/Rotation under hard throttle

this could explain the feeling I get when applying, even part throttle no where near 50%, that the back end is "swaying" a bit side to side. The tires are not losing traction and it might not be the ediff doing it's thing - could be the side walls flexing a bit as it all (power, ediff...

    New 5BW Owner

same guess here - had an ordered Expedition years ago and the roof was damage when a chain from the car above fell on it. We had a great dealer that called and actually told us, "hey the car is here, but sorry - in the body shop for a few days to repair.... are you okay still taking the car?"...

Curated by Cadillac - Hand built CT5BW

I read as +$50k to the base - so that's the $158k. You might as well go all in at that point (all CF, Precision, etc.), so figure ~$200k. And it says delivered via enclosed trailer, so likely plus that cost as well (it could be included in the base tho as it's a bit higher) And this isn't...

    The Wave Metallic thread

I used trac wrap once for a road trip - did full front, some of the hood and the lower rear quarter panel behind the back tire. I have the remaining roll collecting dust.... DM me your address and I'd be happy to ship to you.

    Modern Spare experience?

yeah I hear ya. I had that impression, then this happened. We were doing some spirited driving in our 2017 Z06 7M and had a blowout. It sounded like a gunshot (my left ear immediately started ringing). SHIT - did we just get shot or shot at? Quick scan my self while asking the wife are you okay...

    Recommended Florida dealers for service

Dimmit in Clearwater was recommended by a fellow forum member and I had a GREAT experience there. Ask for Shawn Burns (Service Advisor). He was really good and shared they have a tech that loves BWs (I think he has an older V?). Shawn called once it was ready and asked if I'd like a detailed...

What did you do to your Blackwing today?

does rev match being on or off change it? I recall with it off, the revs climbed on the downshift to provide engine braking

    Auto vs. Manual

as others have noted, the manual is the only reason why we got the car and I would have laughed 3 years ago if someone said "get a Cadillac"

    Probably Dumb Questions

I have a 22, so can't answer #1. 2) same issue sometimes - in my experience, we are moving from push-the-button to pull-the-door faster than the mechanism. I've just added a slight delay between clicking the button and pulling open 3) crazily enough, no BSM in 25s (though I believe it's...
