FYI, I have the 5BW 6 speed and at 2000 miles I had my local dealer change engine oil, trans oil and rear diff oil. I do not track it BUT keep my cars a long time. The maintenance you do entirely depends on how you use the car and how long you plan to keep it.

Thanks, and it is a good question. In my past experience with brand new cars the alignment is usually off from specification from the factory, even though you may not be able to feel it when driving. This can of course cause premature tire wear and I did not want to take the chance with this...

Had the 5 BW aligned today. 2023 with 5,100 miles. Did they do it correctly and was it bad to begin with? I do not want a track alignment. Car drove fine before and feels fine after. No noticeable difference. Thanks for any comments and advice.

It really comes down to how long you plan to keep the car. I typically keep cars well over 100k miles so change oil (synthetic) at about 7,500 mile intervals. But honestly I think it is very rare for someone to sell a car because the engine is worn out now a days so I’m sure you could go...

Was it really necessary to run this wire over the back of the engine? It kind of ruins the look of this great engine.

Why not use the under hood battery connections for your battery tender? I connect my cteck charger there all the time and it works fine.

Hard to do. Great job. What about clutch, trans, drive shaft, diff & axles. Can they handle the added power and torque? Extra power will always find the weakest link. I know there is some robust drivetrain components on these cars but this a lot of additional power.
