Mine came with the same (plus door handle cup protectors) and was no charge (though it shows up as a $ item in my maintenance records). Almost invisible. I am careful not to engage their use anyway.
I thought they all came with it until I later saw the dealer added it. Those friendly Sewell...
That looks like it could have been impact damage perhaps from the car above it on the carrier. :( I don't think it could have left the factory like that.
Absolutely. Get them off ASAP. I make sure I re-treat the front end with ceramic spray before a long trip and keep a car wash kit in the trunk. Trip planning includes noting where self service car washes are and a roll of quarters, if needed, LOL.
Sorry for what happened. Nice that the PDR caught it. I keep mine on for that very reason. Glad you weren't injured too badly. Car looks totaled, though. I really would not want one back that had been that damaged. Good luck with remedies.
I have a gas mileage spreadsheet that I also log any maintenance in, plus I add service entries on my GM account online (where you can also see all your dealer service records).
LOL on the Rift Metallic. That was the color that sold me on my 2022. It's funny that it seems to get more looks now than before. Maybe because the color has been out of circulation for a few years now.
I don't think they would come with the Continentals you mention, because they are not run flats.
My 22 5V came with Michelin Primacy Tour A/S ZP's, because I spec'd the A/S tires (V rated) instead of the summer's.
Yeah, that is something you might not think about-the original tire has to go back in the trunk. Could be an issue, if on vacation and the car is already packed full. As long as I don't blow a bead, I hope that the plug kit I carry will save the day.
