    Bronze wheels at discount?

Pic of your black car with these wheels?

    It finally happened!

I think people over-state the awesomeness of the shifter as well, but it gets better with more break in. My car has almost 10k miles on it now, and I enjoy the shifter much more now than in the beginning. It’s notchy from the get-go but improves with some break-in. The Honda S2000 is still...

What did you do to your Blackwing today?

That’s fairly awesome. Where did you get those, and was it easy to swap them out?

    Anyone know this car?

Yes, not sure I would want a Subaru mechanic trying to replace my Cadillac engine…

    Anyone know this car?

Not sure why anyone would trade a CT5VBW in on a Subaru, but to each his own. Carfax says it got rear ended...

    No lift shift question

Yes on all counts — but there must be something off on the timing occasionally. I guess practice will make perfect. I’m sure I’ll have chances to flog the car at Spring Mountain and hone the technique.

    No lift shift question

Have had an issue intermittently when NLS. Only has happened in the first to second shift, but I let the RPM’s get up close to redline, NLS to second, and second gear won’t engage. Meaning, it’s like the gear shift is locked out of going into second. Only fixed by letting foot off the gas and...

Is this a "leave well-enough alone" situation?

Nope. I’d make them fix that FOR SURE.

How long do you wait after starting the car to move it off?

I wait until I shift it into reverse - then I’m moving!

    CT4-V 4BW current miles

I’m at just under 7000 miles. Noticed there is condensation inside my driver’s side tail light. Also part of the plastic dash appears to be flaking up on a corner — just discovered that one this weekend. Not pleased with either - both should be warranty work but what a pain in the rear.

    New Owner CT4 BW

That feeling of watching the clock until you drive it again does not go away any time soon. I have had mine since August and still bolt down to the parking garage with a smile on my face at quitting time.

    New owner questions

Spare tire from modern spare is high quality and, while it does take up a fair amount of space, for me it’s an excellent trade off.

I am in Friendswood — not a lot of great places to rip around town in Fwood. The 4BW is like a caged beast…

What did you all drive back in the day?

Maybe the winner for the worst car back in the day: 1989 Geo Metro (3 cylinder, 3 speed auto, 52 hp) Then I had a 1992 Mitsubishi 3000GT SL (I think the SL stood for SLow) 2001 Honda Civic (cheapest cost of ownership to this day) 2008 Acura MDX (actually just got rid of this one) 2003 Honda...

    CT4-V Cadillac vs. GM Dealerships

Funny about the test drive - I told the dealer there was no way I was buying a car unless I drove it first. They let me drive it. The rest is history.

    Dealer damaged my roof lining?!?

My black paint was AWFUL from the dealership. Took a competent detail guy 12 hours to correct it. Dealership was not interested in cost sharing.

What made you choose a Blackwing and what else did you consider?

Sounds just like my journey. M3 or 4BW -- read everything and watched every review I could get my hands on. For the price difference, it is a no-contest for the 4BW. And I love it!
