I too went with a DDHC for moving the kids. I had a Charger years ago and i was a blast but too low to the ground. It's dated tech but the powertrain is hilarious. That supercharger whine with an intake is deafening. Compared to my FP700 F-150 which is nearly silent and actually boring to drive...
Yes, with the caveat that with those changes, one would expect to no longer have a powertrain warranty. I wouldn't worry too much about powertrain with just a lid or removing plates and doing an intake but I also wouldn't want to get my hopes up about a significant sound increase with those alone.
I did this and a K&N intake. Still not noticeable in the car with the windows up. From outside, I've been told that you can hear it. It's just not loud by design and with the internal coolers things get muffled. My Whippled F-150 with the FP700 is more noticeable. Sadly, the hellcat whine just...
Yup. Even tried to take my friends apt and they said no skipping in line. Guess they’re not counting on me wanting to drive the car or any rain for a couple months.
I didn't have any tools to take apart the trunk liner so I'm going to need a new one of those. Unplugged the electronic popper and made sure the manual one wasn't somehow pulled permanently. It still wouludn't latch but the latch moved freely when pushed but wouldn't stay in the locked position...
My trunk won’t latch, I’m out of town and need to drive back. I tried getting aggressive with it, tried unplugging the electric plug, messed with the emergency latch, no go. Latch moves freely when pushed but won’t latch closed.
Nobody at my dealer knew about the program. I don't think they move many V cars. I had to educate them on the program then they tried to use it as a selling point telling me what a bargain I was getting.
Did you get it installed??? We want a video with sound clips! My f150 has slightly more whine than the BW but not much, those gen 6 whipples are quiet as well. After having a hellcat, you never really scratch that sound itch quite the same as having screaming monkeys under the hood, inefficient...
Does anyone know the top speed in each gear for the manual on the 5bw? I can’t find it listed online and my local streets don’t allow me to find out myself.
What rpm is ideal for a roll race start?
I’d be in the market for some. Everyone on here needs to go to weathertechs site and request them to be made for the BWs so the ones that need them can get a set.
Go to their site, go to exterior accessories then the no drill flaps. It’ll ask for your car then hit sign up now when they say not...
I do think you’re slightly onto something. When a vehicle is too good, hard to describe really but it can be almost boring unless you’re really cranking on it. The 5BW isn’t really compromised in any way other than maybe trunk space. It does everything well and with such tall gears it just rips...
Disregard the Vicrez. They’re a crappy universal flap. No predrilled holes, aren’t moulded in any way just flat cut plastic that doesn’t line up to utilize existing holes. And to top it off, they have a QR code for instructions that goes to a dead link.
I gave my personal experiences. You didn’t like that potential outcome. Nothing I’m going to say or do to sway you to make a phone call and ask them. So yeah, guess you’ll find out.
When the whipple kit was installed on my f150, it required downloading the current oem tune off the veh, sending it to whipple then they send you a new tune. I don’t see it being any different a process. It takes them that long to get back to you with your tune. Get the tune sent off and back...
