CT5-V Might be selling my BW - any interest on here?

Well, there was too much coincidence in this thread and my desire for a this quite special car for me to pass up; I bought Nick's BW! It was a bit of a coaster ride on Nick's deal for the R8 and we both got wobbly on the whole deal, but regrouped and made it happen. Now I'm in a mini goat...

CT5-V Might be selling my BW - any interest on here?

This is weird, I was just thinking about your car (and 668LT4's) yesterday. I was literally going to message you guys that if you ever considered selling, let me know. The options and color are peak 5BW awesomeness. '25 refresh is not a positive update to me. Count me as seriously interested.

What were your must have options?

Must have: 6M, no sunroof, optional wheels, black raven. Regrets: CCB for the lack of dust, unsprung weight savings, and they elevate the overall radness. Paying MSRP for the car hurt my feels, so adding another $9k to tab was a no-go at the time, but I should have checked that box.

    Engine Failure

TMOG is a big fan of changing the factory oil before 1,000 miles. He mentions it again in the video above. Interesting comments about viscosity.

Narrowed down to 3 colors - help me out, pictures encouraged!

I went black raven, SCG interior with red belts, graphite wheels, and red calipers. Its a classic Cadillac V look, and I love it.

Narrowed down to 3 colors - help me out, pictures encouraged!

Color is way too subjective but the DSM spec is perfect. No roof is mandatory and the CCB are actually a better choice for a street car due to the dust of the iron brakes, particularly on the standard wheels. Of the two CF packages, 1 is definitely the most desirable (to me). You don't say...

Highly Recommend Bleeding the LT4 Intercooler

I have the Dedicated MS adaptor and a one liter bottle cut in half. It seems extra shade tree feeling, but its works. The benefit of eliminating air in the system is to make sure the heat exchanger is providing maximum cooling affect. Not a big deal for a daily, but for track days you'll...

    Rear Diff Fluid

My understanding of the cooling systems on these cars is there is a small heat exchanger near the diff, but the cooling fluid is a separate and distinct system that isn't gear oil. In other words, drain and fill gets nearly all the fluid out.

Thread police up in here! Topic drift is a thing around here, but I'll stay out of yours. Good luck with the repair.

    CT5-V CT5V BW Burning 4qtz/Thousand miles

I posted this in the media dump thread, but seems like a pretty big deal. https://www.thedrive.com/news/gm-issues-stop-sale-ahead-of-recall-for-blown-6-2l-v8s-in-some-2021-2024-trucks-and-suvs

CT5-V Missing Volume knob on MY25+

To me, the idea that a down market has any meaningful impact on non-retired consumers is illogical, its actually an opportunity. I keep pouring money into the market regardless and the shares I'm buying today are cheaper than they were 6 months ago. It's going back up, it ALWAYS does. so take...

CT5-V Oil change for ct5V BW

I think the shape of the tip isn't conducive to determining an overfill condition. The oil tube wipes that portion clean as you pull it out. I check mine after sitting overnight on level ground. I do my own changes and keep the level 1-2mm below the top of the hatch. Hate an overfill...

CT5-V HORRIBLE experience with Bayway Cadillac SW

My wife would walk over $29, it would take a bit more for me to walk but it depends on my desire for the car. I'm guessing your desire isn't that high since it appears you already have a '25 5BW? In 2023, when I was in the finance office 14 minutes away from getting my red BW keys, I would...

    Cadillac V-Series paint colors 2022-26

I'm torn between the '22 and '25 model year having the best overall collection of options. I LOVE shadow metallic but I think I have give the award to the '25 MY. Black Raven here, btw.

    Spark plug damage

I think you can both be proud of your teams record and also acknowledge every industry has its tarnish issues with a small number that lack the aptitude/cares given to be good at their profession. While I have a strong situational awareness, I still hold firm that cops, lawyers, strangers, and...

    CT5-V Ikon anti-theft

I think the OBDII lock linked above by my bay area neighbor is a good idea to slow the process. For those circumstances where I'm parking overnight and not at home, is there a preferred fuse removal move?

    CT5-V Ikon anti-theft

It's an OBD port based GPS tracker, not an anti-theft device.
