Make sure you're using a high endurance / professional SD card that can handle a lot of writes. You don't want to find out that your card has failed when you need it for an accident.
It's only for the L87 engine. The LT4 is a cousin but a fairly different animal. Plus the LT4 has always had 0W-40 so it had a thicker film of protection the entire time. Putting 0W-20 in a big 'ol V8 regardless of use was pretty crazy for the L87. I know they say the root cause was improper...
There are rumors that the surround video recording will return in 26 but as a paid for cloud subscription service. As is in the 25 there doesn't seem to be any way to record the surround video feed unlike 24 and earlier.
Well they jacked the prices up last year:
https://californiaglobe.com/fl/brace-for-impact-california-gas-prices-to-increase-in-2025/
"Californian drivers will have to earn an additional $600 to $1,000 a year in pre-tax income to ‘break even’ with 2024 prices"
And now they're raising them again...
Spring and Fall are the worst. Refineries switch production from the summer formula to the winter, supply tightens, and prices rise until production is fully up and running. Rinse repeat for the next cycle of the seasons.
Now we don't get any of that. GM will give you at least three different ETAs depending on who you ask now. After production the car's essentially go into a black hole and you don't REALLY know what's going on until it is offloaded at the destination railhead.
One feature I needed to NOT have was the sunroof. The 4BW has very little headroom so losing 2+ inches for the sunroof was not an option.
Also many have said the Alcantara wheel was a pain to keep from becoming a gross mess of oil and gunk so I did not spec that even though it seems like a good...
Make them save the suspension shipping spacers so you have them and so you know they aren't still installed. So many on here have found them still there weeks after purchase.
Make sure both key fobs work. Thieves like to grab one fob in transit and get your car later.
Make sure the mud...
What did you use to color the dash stitching? I already know the white stitching reflecting in the windshield is going to drive me nuts. That and how the turn signal lights, dash indicator, and sound are all out of sync with each other. That's going to grate for a while until I get used to it.
I hear you on this. I fell into the black/white/gray exterior with all black interior cliche for too long. RRT with tan interior will hopefully remedy that boredom.
A buyback happens when GM can't fix the car in a timely fashion (aka lemon law). You may get a steal on a fully repaired vehicle or you may buy a problem they can't fix. When you're talking about that kind of money it isn't really a smart gamble IMO.
I think you give the average dealer service department far too much credit. The real sad fact is I'm sure GMs support engineers have been called in to assist a bunch of times with this and none of them have taken the time to actually figure out the problem. They just tell the dealer to keep...
Now instead of just replacing the oil, they're going to replace every engine. That's massive and will likely take years.
