I also have a ‘25 and have issues with getting the TPMS to work with different rims. I did not think to check for an error message in My Cadillac app. I do not have a reprogramming tool so I will have to try it just doing the reset.
Do you recall the part number of the TPMS units you have...
Apparently the BW CCB require weighing. What a pain. If they form a lip when they get worn like iron rotors do then that will be a good visual indicator. I can usually tell when my iron rotors need replacing before measure the thickness.
I can confirm that the CCB do create a fair bit of brake dust during a track day while almost zero dust when just driving around town. So I believe the comment about CCB having the same life span as iron for track use is probably correct. However, a Porsche owner I spoke with who has CCB on...
I just ran the Goodyear Supercar 3R tires at the track. The 305 size on the rear was the TPC spec tire which was the front on the ZL1 1LE. The 285 front was just the standard 3R spec.
I have not run the Cup 2 R tire, but compared to the regular Cup 2, the 3R seemed grippier with good...
I installed 13554170 on a set of wheels and they did not sync with my 2025 5BW. I wanted to let 2025 owners know just in case something changed with the new infotainment unit. I will update once I figure out the issue.
The MK8 VW GTI and Golf R had a 40-50% take rate on manuals in the US. But they killed the manual when the MK8.5 came out this year. There was no additional R&D costs so it seems confusing on why they would give up half their sales.
But I believe there are a few reasons. First, is that...
Provides more camber in the rear. About a half degree I think.
Plus the piece is more solid so there will be less flex. Since we are not professional racers, I doubt we would notice a difference though.
Nice of the dealership to pick up the tab. Find out if they are just going to align the rear or do a full alignment. I found front settings were quite a bit off from the factory so best to have then do a full alignment. You will need to let them know what kind of alignment you want - street...
You might want to start lurking In the Blackwing General Discussion forum. People seem to post there first that they are thinking of selling. You might get an early jump on a possible sale.
Essex does not have a solution. I contracted them and they require a 5BW for a while to be able to fab something.
There might be one option out there. It I have not pursued it yet.

They come in the trunk of the car. I had the dealer I install and do an alignment. But I was charged for it. Was it supposed to be included as part of the PDI? I could not find any document indicating that.
GM Authority just put out a story with some details but omits the timeframe for when the included cars were built. I think CB34 has it right in that it is 2025 models built in calendar year 2024. But would be nice if the story had confirmation...
Thank you. I searched for options and could not find any. So good to know the stock pads are up to track day abuse. I just bought a set of fronts as a spare. I assume the front pads will wear out before the rears.
For those with a '25+ CT5, Savage told me they will have side markers available for our cars by end of May. I was told that around mid-April, so we will see in the next week if their estimate is correct.
I assume the options mentioned above are for the steel rotors. What are the options for CCB? I have not found any brake pads that are specific for the J57 (CCB) rotors other than the GM ones.
