I despise security lug nuts and had no idea the Blackwing was coming with them. I want them off, meaning I need four replacements. Anyone got the part number handy for the standard almost-chrome-but-not-quite lug nuts on the 5BW? I see a couple of options on sites like gmpartsgiant, etc; just...
Maybe, but it shouldn't be. I am, as always, thankful for the engineers I know within GM that help with things like this. But I'm one customer and GM has millions of others. How's that a good business model to whiz in the Wheaties of everyone else like that?
It isn't. One of the...
I have the car, finally. It was put into GM's system back in September of last year, at a dealership that didn't have an allocation. I wasn't sure when they'd get one, but I was OK waiting. For a bit. Things happened, folks within GM pulled some strings for me, and a VIP Allocation was...
These were tricky: holding the iPhone w/my left hand, throwing the ball, and trying to take the snap with my right. Each shot is right before Hercules caught the ball off the bounce.
A thing arrived today. My garage has shitty lighting, so the photo isn't great. But it's here and it actually does look fantastic in person. Thanks @Terrance Sig!
Now to get the car to put it on...
If UPS is to be believed, mine will actually be here by Wednesday this week. And it will, in fact, beat my 5BW which is still sitting at the train station in Michigan.
The only place he got his information from is the same place you might have: GM (not an) Authority. While we still don't know the specifics on what's changing, and there could very well be... the sales folk don't know, either.
Once again, my warning is to not listen to the SM instructors when it comes specifically to the engineering and technical aspects of the cars. They don't know what they're talking about. Very clearly. NLS is fine for the engine; GM's lawyers wouldn't have let them put it into the car...
Here's more comedy: my sales guy says he sees my order as status 4300. And yet it's still sitting in that Michigan autoport waiting for its train ride. Unless it was "intermediately" delivered to the train station and that's what they mean.
@Rob 4B00 is Bayed, not Delayed, right? You've got my status as 4B00 but Delayed. And I know it's physically sitting at the autoport in Lansing, lined up to be loaded onto a train car.
