    CT5-V Engine failure

The battery and starter were toast because… ok, I’ll start from the beginning. I was driving along. Cruse control was engaged at 55. All was right with the world. Then the car started to slow down. My first thought was that the cruise control had disengaged. As luck would have it there was a...

Probably a good idea. Like chicken soup for a dying man, “It couldn’t hurt”

Good luck. I hope you are successful. If not, a conversation with a local TV station would probably get their attention. FYI. Sewell has a reputation for excellent customer service.

    CT5-V Engine failure

The replacement engine was built by the same company that built the first one. All Sewell did was install the new one. They must have done it correctly because I have not had any problems with it. I got a personalized TX plate. 0260N4S. Zero to 60 in 4 seconds.

    CT5-V Engine failure

I flew for and retired from American Airlines, after 32 years. Plus 8 years in the AF flying the B-52. Airline was a better deal. With the airline, the only person shooting at you is the occasional jealous husband. (Airline joke). Don’t fly anymore. I will be 86 in May. 40 + years of messing...

    CT5-V Engine failure

The car was still under warranty. The oil was the oil put in by the factory. Sewell Cadillac of Dallas, ordered a new engine from Cadillac. The Sewell mechanics, removed the engine and installed the new one. I assume Cadillac had to eat the cost of the removal and installation. I don’t remember...

New member and hopefully owner from Nashville area!

Welcome. Lots of nice people here. I have a 22 CT5V BW. The only recommendation I can offer is that when you accelerate, do it smoothly because if you “stomp down” on it, it will try to swap ends with you. (Translation: For those not from the south, “stomp down” means to apply pressure to the...

Help! CT5 2023 no gps or Onstar

Just noticed you also have an Onstar problem. That has to be an antenna or software problem (I think). You might try contacting Onstar for troubleshooting help. I have found that no matter what problem I have, I am not the first person to have that problem. Almost always, someone else has had a...

Help! CT5 2023 no gps or Onstar

When I got my 22 5BW, the Bluetooth didn’t work. Dealer deleted and reloaded the software. Didn’t help. Finally got it to play from my phone by using Apple car play. Also I connect the phone to the car with the power cord. That also helps. I don’t use the car GPS because I use the screen for...

Well done. Congratulations. The dealer should make the paint good. If not, there are quality paint shops that can. They could even do a 2 tone. THAT would make it one of a kind. Enjoy.

New to Forum and Potential Future BW Owner

I am not denigrating the Corvettes. They are great cars and fun to drive. I had a 2005. The problem I had was, I thought it was noisy and getting in and out was difficult. I think the 5BW is an improvement on both of those issues. And the 5BW performance is spectacular.

Six feet 7? I am thinking that the 4BW may be a little close. A 5BW might give you a little more room. I used to be 6’2”. Somewhere along the way, I’ve gotten an inch shorter. Probably all the years of driving airplanes. Or just being 85 years old.

    25 5BW Coming

As long as you are good out of state, check with Sewell Cadillac of Dallas Tx. They have a reputation for great customer service. Besides, a trip to Texas would let you get some great Texas Barbecue.
