V Leather Patch Hats for sale *new member* - Central Ky Area

I have always thought the Army Warrant Officer program was a good deal. I went through the AF Aviation Cadet program. 16 months to Gold Bars and silver wings. B-47–B-52 and Out in 1966 to the wonderful world of American Airlines. Lump sum retirement enough to get a 22 CT5 BW. No complaints.

Be careful what you wish for. I grew up in a pre computer age. Old joke, “I’m so old I had to watch TV by candlelight”.

“Before I was born…”. I get that a lot. Had an MRI recently. Told the guy running the machine that I retired in 1998. He said “That was the year I was born”. I graduated from USAF pilot training in 1960. Gold bars. Silver wings. A lifetime ago.

My pleasure. My service was “a long time ago in a galaxy far away” (I flew the B-52). American Airlines was a better deal.(photo from 1988. Boeing 727)

Welcome. Good idea with the hats. Have you considered something that would be a distinctive Blackwing design? Eagle with Blackwings and a Cadillac crest? Just brainstorming. I have no artistic talent but perhaps other bloggers do. Good luck.

    Another noob here

Re Dallas Traffic. That’s one reason I moved to Waxahachie. When you get your Blackwing, the only suggestion I have is to apply acceleration power smoothly. If you “stomp down on it”, it will try to swap ends. Don’t ask how I know.

I don’t blame you for wanting a local dealer. I wanted a local dealer as well. I live about 40 miles south of Dallas and the local Cadillac dealer lost the Cadillac franchise, making Dallas the nearest dealership.

If you are seeking a Cadillac dealer in Dallas, I recommend Sewell Cadillac of Dallas. Excellent customer service.

Hoping to test drive a 4BW 6-spd in SF Bay Area - will trade beer or a test drive of one of my cars!

I don’t know if you are interested in an out of state dealership, but there are lots of good dealers outside of CA. The nice people on this Blog would be happy to recommend a dealer. Myself included.

23 5VBW with blown motor here

I’m not a car sales expert, but I agree with BimmerFan. If it affected the car value, the insurance premiums should reflect the reduced value. New engine should not affect car value.

Baling wire is passe. Now it’s duct tape and JB Weld. Flew B-52 in AF. American Airlines was a better deal. Only people shooting at you are jealous husbands. 😀

23 5VBW with blown motor here

It was ironic. 40+ years of messing with airplanes (USAF & Airline) and the only engine fail and “forced landing”, was in a car.

23 5VBW with blown motor here

The whole process, from engine fail to car brought back from dealer was about, if memory serves, 10 days. That would include an engine being built, transportation from Detroit to Dallas, and engine reinstalled, including new starter and battery. It was almost painless. Sewell Dallas could not...

23 5VBW with blown motor here

Your call. Mine has worked fine with the replacement engine. The engines are assembled by one person who signs the engine. I would have loved to have been there when he/she learned the engine had come apart. I was driving at 55 mph with cruise control on and the car started to slow down. I...

23 5VBW with blown motor here

Welcome to my world. The engine in my 22 5 BW came apart at about 7000 miles. No track. No mistreatment. It just seized. Sewell Cadillac of Dallas came and got it and brought a loaner car. Cadillac sent Sewell a new engine, which Sewell installed. Sewell brought my car back and took the loaner...
