4BW owner with over 5000 miles. No clunking or jerking or difficult to engage shifts. Even when cold so far in Michigan weather. Does sound as if there's an actual inherent problem with your transmission. I was skeptical of the Tremec transmission after having multiple S2000s (the best...
I bought a set of rear splash guards from Amazon for a base CT4. The rears fit fine but the front did not fit well, so I kept the OEM front guards. If you want, feel free to message me your phone number and I'll text you pictures.
Got a call from them yesterday, they're hoping to have everything up in next few weeks, hopefully end of September. I'm anxious to buy something too before the snow hits. I'll post on the forum when I get an update from them.
I recently had a blow out on my 4BW after a huge pothole; not the same but I get the frustration. I would say patch the tire professionally; it's on a few dollars. If it doesn't work then pony up for a new tire, about $300 here in Michigan at Discount Tire.
Yes, made it to Tire Rack this past week. Easy process, everyone super friendly, and very cool place to visit even for only short time. They said they'll let me know when website is updated, hopefully one week.
Purchased this same set of rock/splash guards from Amazon. Cheap purchase. Installs easily with right ankle screwdriver so you don't have to take the wheel off. Looks good, hopefully functional. The fronts did not fit like OEM so I chose to keep the OEM front rock guards, with these Amazon...
I voted definitely not. Major requirement for me is a manual transmission. I'm not ready to give up driving a manual yet and every car the last 20+ years has been a manual.
Coming from three generations of BMW M3, if the Blackwing did not offer a manual, I would have simply proceeded to buy...
Happened to me twice, once while out at dinner, once while at work. Came back both times immediately, found no damage or issues at all. Checked the phone app and found all was ok. Seems like a glitch to me.
I wish! But in all seriousness if this helps others find wheels/tires then I think it's win-win for all.
Going to TireRack late August. If any CT5BW owners can make it TireRack would be happy to get them appointments too.
Hey guys, if anyone is near South Bend, IN, contact TireRack. I am making an appointment with them in August to have my CT4 BW scanned front/rear so I can find tires and wheels that will fit; hopefully this helps others too.
With that said they could use a CT5BW too as they said that need...
Hi guys, anyone know of site that have wheel/tire packages for the 4BW? I called TireRack directly and they don't have anything, asked if I could bring my car there so they could measure it up (they've yet to get one in house to measure). I'm trying to think ahead to get a set of wheels/tires...
Hey Guys, just chiming in. I didn't use my ventilated seats the first few weeks I had the car, but I've tried it out the last few hot days here in Michigan. I've barely felt any cool air from the ventilated seats, even on the highest settings. Wondering what other people' experience has been...
I have a CT4 BW. My brake duct kit was in the trunk under the floor/cover. I asked the dealership about this specifically. Service advisor showed me on the instruction it says "for track use only, and to remove afterwards". Since my car is daily driving I have no installed these. I may...
The horsepower number doesn't mean much to me. I could have fun with much less horsepower; I just like the sound of a V8; that's why I bought my E90 M3 too.
My personal wish list
A detuned, non supercharged version of the CT5V BW V8 engine making around 500-520 ish hp. Keep all else the same...THEN I would be fully content.
Oh and move the damn electronic parking brake button to the center console near the shifter! Hate it's location to left of...
Local Michigander, in Rochester Hills. I'm a huge S2000 fan (owned 3 already). Have been looking for a local one. Feel free to call/text me at 248-229-3713 to see if we can work out a deal, depending price and condition etc.
Regards,
Christopher
Biggest "needs" for me were manual transmission and four doors for the kids. Being in BMW M3's the last 10+ years I naturally looked at the G80 M3. I hate it in pictures, it's grown on me in person. However dealers are quoting very long lead times and the used ones on lots are more than...
