Thanks. It drove just fine before the alignment.

    Alignment Advice

Thanks, and it is a good question. In my past experience with brand new cars the alignment is usually off from specification from the factory, even though you may not be able to feel it when driving. This can of course cause premature tire wear and I did not want to take the chance with this...

    Alignment Advice

Had the 5 BW aligned today. 2023 with 5,100 miles. Did they do it correctly and was it bad to begin with? I do not want a track alignment. Car drove fine before and feels fine after. No noticeable difference. Thanks for any comments and advice.

CT5-V Oil change for ct5V BW

It is the manual. I have probably changed manual trans fluid a couple dozen times in my life and it is kind of fun as long as you have drain plug. This Tremec 6060 does, however I had the dealer change it, and the rear diff and engine oil. They did use OEM trans fluid, which happens to be AT...

CT5-V Oil change for ct5V BW

It really comes down to how long you plan to keep the car. I typically keep cars well over 100k miles so change oil (synthetic) at about 7,500 mile intervals. But honestly I think it is very rare for someone to sell a car because the engine is worn out now a days so I’m sure you could go...

Where in Florida is this dealer? I’m in Sarasota.

    I’ll be there then too.

Though market adjustments were a thing of the past? Not in Florida

I went to that Florida dealer this summer when I was first shopping for a 5BW. Non negotiable $20k dealer adjustment. I walked out and went to another local dealer and got a 5BW off the lot for MSRP, but paid for dealer-added window tinting (which I wanted anyway here in Florida). Keep...

    Dear 5BW Engine Designeres ...

Was it really necessary to run this wire over the back of the engine? It kind of ruins the look of this great engine.

    This was weird.

Why not use the under hood battery connections for your battery tender? I connect my cteck charger there all the time and it works fine.

Quarter Mile and 60ft times Manual Transmission

Ha ha. I live 10 min from that park. Love having that nearby.

    Tapout's Flagship CT4-V Blackwing Tops 700 whp!

Hard to do. Great job. What about clutch, trans, drive shaft, diff & axles. Can they handle the added power and torque? Extra power will always find the weakest link. I know there is some robust drivetrain components on these cars but this a lot of additional power.

Any warranty issues with your 5BW?

No but I did see the C&D article about their test car engine failure. Seems like a very isolated incident

Any warranty issues with your 5BW?

Lack of response = good news.

Any warranty issues with your 5BW?

I now have 3,500 miles on my 2023 5BW and have had zero issues with it. Very pleased with that. I’m curious if others on this board have had any problems and did the warranty cover it? I’m guessing that about 99.9% of folks on this board are still under warranty. Please, if you would, share...

    CT5 V Actual Crank HP

Just watched this Hennessy video: They claim 1,000 HP crank & 840 RWHP which equates to 16% drivetrain loss. Don't know if auto or manual though.

    CT5 V Actual Crank HP

Wow that is really low. How did you calculate those numbers?
  18. T

    CT5 V Actual Crank HP

Ok thanks. Using the 620 RWHP number and assuming 17% drivetrain loss, the crank HP is 747. Assuming 25% drivetrain loss, the crank HP is 827. Additionally, if we assume the published 668 crank HP is correct AND the 620 RWHP is accurate, this equates to only a 7.2% drivetrain loss which, in...

    CT5 V Actual Crank HP

Yes but RWHP results I have seen are all over the map, ranging from 550 to about 630. Where can I find the results you mention?
