Yup, I’m passing on carbon ceramic for sure. Just the process on getting it retrofitted and the $$$ already sounds like a headache lol.

Thanks for your insights! I agree, it wouldn't make sense to switch to carbon ceramic rotors; that would also be a super pricey switch as well. As you and others here have mentioned, I checked out the KNS website and appreciated a brief breakdown description of the pads and also liked how...

Is there going to be a significant difference running iron rotors vs carbon ceramic rotors with ceramic brake pads? What would be the pros and cons? Is there a carbon ceramic rotor you would recommend?

Nice! Yeah it’s crazy how filthy my wheels get from daily driving it from all the brake dust. Definitely might go with the Ceramic Brake pads because of that. Now I’m debating whether to stick with iron rotors or switching to carbon ceramic rotors. Thanks again for your inputs.

Carbon ceramic is what I’m trying to go for.

Gotcha! Thanks man. You having no issues running ceramics on iron rotors, do you think it’s worth the extra cost on getting ceramic rotors? I daily my 4BW, but drive aggressively lol. Is there a significant difference between iron rotors and ceramic rotors to justify the price difference?

Thanks for your input! I’ll look into the KNSBrakes. Will the setup also work for the 4BW?

Thanks for your insights! I did get some clarity from Marcmac and he’s using iron rotors with Ceramic pads. Might end up doing the same, but will continue to do research and also hear from others within community. Thanks again.

I feel stupid asking this question cause I consider myself a car guy and should know an answer to probably a simple car question. I’ll be needing new brake pads and rotors soon - can anyone please tell me if I need special rotors to run ceramic brake pads? Or will stock rotors be fine? Also was...

    5BW for 4BW

By the way, if your user pic is your car...I've also liked that color for the BW and your BW is sexy. I've seen a few in that color (mainly driving on the freeway) and like the shiny and deep red color...it's sexy. I'm not a color kind of guy (mainly stick to Grey, Black, or White), but that...

    5BW for 4BW

Something I've noticed over the yrs is that manufactures back in the day cared less, but focused on quality of their cars. However, nowadays, manufactures care and record date, while compromising the quality of their cars. It's crazy how back then it used to be the quality of cars and now it's...

    5BW for 4BW

That's the thing with our modern BW's...so much software and overthinking of our ECU is involved that it creates a misreading between 12 psi and 18 psi. I can't imagine how the BW would have been if it was created around the 90s. Back then, it was so much easier to manipulate the ECU on what you...

    5BW for 4BW

Hahaha! every car is going to have it's pros and cons. You're right though...chief complaints being gas tank size and turning radius. These are for people that daily drive their BW though...myself included. Yes, for the 4BW...it sucks only having roughly 17 gal and about 255 mi range. Since I...

    5BW for 4BW

Agreed. I can picture myself being behind a 5BW and them not being able to make a u-turn when I just saw someone ahead of them that's driving a Chevy Suburban and being able to complete a simple u-turn. But I guess I'd understand coming from a BW driver lol. But, like you said, must people would...

    5BW for 4BW

Wow! For $2k, that's some pretty good upgrades. From 472hp to 550hp is a fair upgrade. However, I heard a fairly cheaper way to increase hp is mod-ing the fuel system, installing a flex sensor, and tuning the ECU to run Ethanol...which would then make it possible to increase stock hp by 170hp...

1Evil55: I think MookdocOE really summed up the reaction of the terrible turning radius “like wtf” hahaha. I know it’s something that’s a 5-10 sec reaction and once the turn is done, you move on. But living and commuting in LA, the turning radius can really get annoying…especially if you have...

Champale: I liked how you mentioned that the 4BW is “such an exceptional driver’s car.” My uncle tells me why I didn’t get an M3, I told him cause I felt that the 4BW was more of a “driver’s car” than the M3…to each their own. Sure the M3 is the faster car, but to me it feels less engaging than...

    5BW for 4BW

MookdocOE: You’re correct! The nimbleness factor of the 4BW is great. I take it to the canyons and is a blast to drive around the switchbacks. I also have the same reaction with my 4BW whenever trying to make a u-turn…same reaction being “like wtf” hahaha. Sometimes I see full size SUVs complete...

    5BW for 4BW

Thanks all for your replies and insights. So, for those that have a 5BW, given that the turning radius is comical and probably very annoying, how do you all live with it? lol...do you just get used to it and learn to live with it or do you regret it and maybe have wished you've gotten a 4BW? And...
