News: El Reno Onion Burger Day

That's right, El Reno, Oklahoma celebrates Onion Burgers and that is happening this Saturday, May 7th. There's a car show and other activities plus booths for sponsors. I'm taking my little red wagon to the show and will be in El Reno all day. So, if you're in the area, drop by and say...

    News: 2016 WC - Rounds 5, 6, & 7: Spoiler Alert

I'm a little late reporting on Round 5 as it was a week ago but here goes: Round 5 at Long Beach was a good and bad day for Cadillac Racing. Johnny O finished second behind the McLaren of Parente while Cooper had a bad weekend and only finished 15th. Round 6 and 7 were at Barber Motorsports...

GM TechLink: Auto Heated and Auto Heated/Ventilated Seats Diagnostic Tips

This sounds like the system used in the Volt to allow the driver/passenger to feel warmer sooner without using up engine heat to heat the whole interior of the car. It worked good on our Volt.

Hello Vnet - new to this forum but not to the V's

Howdy, Definitely not alone but STS V owners are pretty rare here. I've always thought the STS and it's V version were great looking cars but decided to go with the rear drive CTS Vs instead. I'm on my second CTS V and I think I'll keep it for a while. Later,

    new guy here

I've owned 2 Vs and one "regular" Caddy. No issues with any of them as far as build complaints. My '04 V had a couple of recalls early on, wore out tires too fast (GY SuperCar tires - yuck) and the diff bushing needed to be replaced at 45K miles My '11 V Wagon has been bullet proof - Michelin...

    New CTS V

Well, I was at my favorite Caddy dealer recently and they have a 2016 CTS V in red with all the options sitting on the showroom floor. Sticker shows just over 98K - ouch. The sales staff and the new car manager were sure hitting on me to buy it and were ready to talk trade in on my V Wagon...

Help! Insurance? Stated Value? Collector car?

I'm thinking that the "V" is still too new to be considered favorably in the 'collectible car' or stated value markets. My V Wagon is rare but I also drive it all the time. So, I'm living with my regular car policies and hoping no one totaled it for me. Came close last Saturday when someone...

    2016 World Challenge - COTA

Well, I was busy doing other things and forgot all about the World Challenge racing this past weekend. On checking racing news today, I see that Cadillac Racing had a good weekend at COTA. This was a 2-race weekend. On Saturday, Cooper in the #8 ATS finished 3rd and O'Connell finished 5th...

Video: Roll Race – C6 Corvette ZR1 vs Cadillac CTS-V Wagon

So, a Chevy Nomad would be a "Shooting Brake" while the V Wagon is an "Estate" - or it might seem. "Shooting Brake" is used to describe both 2 and 4 door wagons when I search for images of them.

    2011 CTS-V production numbers

Howdy, The break out between auto and manual does not seem to be available anywhere. About the only thing I have seem mentioned is that the manual trans is well less than 50% of V production in the V2.

    Howdy

The weather here in Oklahoma yesterday was a welcome surprise. Started out in the 20's but ended in the low 70's with lots of sun. I left the V Wagon in the garage and drove my '13 427 Convertible Vette around just wasting gas and enjoying the drive. No point in owning cars like these and not...
