    CT5 BW Rev Match

I'm in the habit of always hitting every gear on the way down, even if I'm going down multiple gears. This thing is blipping like a mofo, and it's borderline obnoxious...which is fine by me.

    Brake fluid exchange procedure

Yes, you can do this, but it requires you to manually bleed the brakes, go drive the car. Find a slick enough surface and get up enough speed to get the ABS to activate, then come back and bleed the brakes again.

    The Eagle has landed

I too had a 2017 SS with 6 speed. This car has a lot of the same "feel" but everything is turned up from about an 8 to an 11 in every regard. Although, I think the SS delivery was faster even though it came from freaking Australia!!!

    Brake fluid exchange procedure

There is another procedure in the Factory Service Manual for "Antilock Brake System Automated Bleed" and it requires the GM scan tool. This is the only way to truly flush ALL of the old fluid out, and get the new fluid in. It is able to run the ABS pump and valves to push the old fluid out to...

    Jacking up your Blackwing

Does this actually work on the 5BW? I threw my extensions under the car real quick, just to see, and it didn't look like they were long enough. Maybe I didn't look closely enough.

CT4-V BW - LOW OIL PRESSURE - METAL IN OIL

The real money shift in a manual is a missed 2-3 UPSHIFT. Going 1-2-1 will zing you right into buying yourself a new motor.

I mean, if chatGPT was around when I was in high school...let's just say, I haven't changed much.

Let's play a game.... Winners Get a Blackwing Badge....... 🏁

In the year 2050, the world had changed dramatically, but the need for goat herders remained. And when it came to goat herding, no one was more renowned than Tall Steve. With his exceptional knowledge and skill, he had become a legend in the industry, traveling the world to manage some of the...

So my coworkers z06 was stolen from our work garage

A car on my street, which just so happens to be a 2003-ish Jeep Liberty, is always street parked with a club installed.

Floor hinged throttle pedal...what is this? A BMW?

So my coworkers z06 was stolen from our work garage

I'm guessing they just flat bedded it out? Otherwise, GMs are basically impossible to start without a key signal. I harp on this all the time, especially to my neighbors that leave cars outside... DISABLE THE PROXIMITY KEY AT NIGHT. In the Cadillac, it's super easy. After you get out and close...

CT5-V Getting Rid of Fake Engine Noise

I checked every wiring diagram and wiring harness diagram in the factory service manual, and there is no microphone other than the 3 ANC mics and the 2 mics for phones. The RPO code for engine sound enhancement is not installed on the blackwings.

CT5-V Getting Rid of Fake Engine Noise

I do not believe the CT5VBW has any extra noise pumped in through the speakers. I installed an amp and sub, and dove pretty deep into the wiring diagrams. I see no microphone, and the RPO code for engine sound enhancement isn't on CT5VBWs.

CT5-V What don't you like about your CT5-V Blackwing?

Tesla Plaid is the perfect car for people that want to stab it for short bursts as a party trick. Even an older 3 motor Model S would work. For the OP, it's worth trying different PTM modes with stability still fully on. Start with "dry". The regular traction control is super aggressive and can...

CT5-V What don't you like about your CT5-V Blackwing?

You should never "stab" the throttle in any car, let alone a RWD 668hp car. Roll into the throttle quickly, but with precision. On a regular dry road with normal temp tires you will almost never be able to be at full throttle in first or second gear, and part of third. Part of the fun is getting...

    Car seats in 5bw

We used a Doona for the first year, and I would highly recommend that, especially if you travel at all. I never had it in the 5BW, but I'm thinking it would fit, no problem (can test if you need it). We now use a Nuna Rev in a Honda Civic, which is rear or forward facing, and the whole thing...

    Personalized license plate

Ice goat, for sure. I kinda got tired of explaining what it meant, so I changed it out already. I would just say, "internal combustion engine, greatest of all time" instead of having to explain that, "well, there's this forum, and the goat rodeo, and..."

This Was Unexpected - New CT5-V Blackwing in Rift Metallic

48k in options, wowza. What "year" is this car of the 120 year anniversary editions? As for the seats, I love the high performance seats. I have the suede seatbacks, but I think the actual seat is the same comfort/performance wise as the CF seat. Only complaint is the headrest doesn't move, so...
