...a little high. Unfortunately, those prices were in line with the other shop Syed each of the front rotors are over $1100 each. The rear brakepads were 762 and the front ones were 803 I believe and $289 labor on each set. I guess I didn't even ask what the rear rotors cost. If they've gone...
I am new to the vehicle, but I am noticing the brake dust is as bad as my 2021 C8 Z51 was.
One of the first things I did to it was to put on drilled and slotted rotors and ceramic brakepads.
Has anybody done that to your 2023 yet? For comparison I have the supercharged V8 with a 6MT.
OEM pads lasted 3.5 track days at the front for me but we're almost down to the metal, I installed EBC SR11 and saw a significant difference in performance and confidence, I did not install the rear since the OEM had plenty of life left in them. I saw no problem with the brake system, the SR11...
Thank you so much for taking time out to share this information.
I am looking at a $20k budget to do some work to my 24 CT5-V BW and It’s great to see what mods you did and seeing if I can adjust them to keep as close to my budget. I know it won’t make the same power you did as much budget...
When I had my Kia Stinger with Brembos the front Brembo pads were notorious for leaving pad deposits that caused brake pulsing. Most people thought the rotors were warped. It happened to my car. The dealer also thought they were warped and resurfaced the OEM rotors. I then changed out the Brembo...
Of course, this is a year and a half old thread, so I wonder how the OP has been enjoying his car on the track?
Doing the brakepads and fluid first was a smart move. I don't think larger/wider tires will help much, what will help is camber plates (assuming that the factory adjustments aren't...
After my second track day using the EBC pads for track use, I concur with MBAR that these brakepads will be my "go to" brakepads, at least during track season. I might swap them out for the stock pads from NOV - MAR.

What brakepads would you folks recommend for track day use in my CT5 BW? OEM seem to do fine. i just did a track day at Carolina Motorsports Park. I ran 4 sessions doing a warm up lap..2-3 flyers...and a cool down lap. I dont see myself going out for long track runs of 30 straight minutes are...
It's awesome that your dealer is going to pay for a Cadillac dealer inspection and brake job. That could come out to a big bill with OEM pads. There is only one wear sensor for the front pads and one for the rear.
Problem was solved. The brakes were locked either to the parking brake not releasing or just the pads not releasing from the rotors. After numerous attempts to move the car, the car finally broke loose. Thanks to all for the suggestions. The car drives correctly without any issues. I think...
...system of your vehicle. GM which is the OEM of Cadillac CT4V-BW and CT5V-BW vehicles does not recommend the use of "non-GM approved" brakepads or rotors for your vehicle.
BRAKE VIBRATION ISSUE:
My CT4V-BW developed moderate vibration during light to moderate braking at the steering wheel...
Hi,
I sold my V and got back into Porsches at the begining of this year so I never installed the rears but I think your conclusion makes sense. I still have the rears new in the box + fronts with 1 track day on them for sale if your interested.
...discs are still within specification for thickness, then read on .....
THE PROBLEM:
(a) Uneven brake pad burnishing for the stock OEM brakepads and rotors MAY be a primary cause of low mileage rotors that attain a state where they exceed the maximum assembled lateral runout (LRO).
(b)...
While looking into brake pad options for the 5BW, I discovered that the PowerStop Z26 pads cross reference among the front brakes for the iron-brake 5BW, the CCB C7 Z06, and the '13-'14 Z28. If the pads cross reference, then I figured maybe the rotors are the same. Well, they're not, but as...
Reviving this thread with another positive track experience with the EBC SR11s. This is my second season tracking the 4BW and so far my experience with the stock pads is that they like to wear quickly when tracking. The original set of front pads lasted about 4 days for me (nearly down to metal)...
Oh, can't help with that. Mine don't squeal but the high brake dust is an annoyance I'll take to keep the shorter stopping distance you won't get with harder low dust pads.
