Bright was the wrong word to use for what I meant. What I want is a color that is very visible, in part because I plan to track this car a lot and want people to see me coming in their mirrors.
You're right that Velocity Red and Torch Red are the same color. I had a C7Z that was Torch Red...
They usually run in Track with the Sport PTM mode. The use of manual shifting is to keep the cars from automatically holding the high revs - especially in the brutal heat out there. It also eliminates any unsettling from a downshift during a corner.
I once reviewed data from an auto C7...
This is the challenge. Those pics look very mustard or 70s harvest gold. I definitely want something bright, so it's either this or velocity red, but we need more pictures!
I'm really torn on the new 2024 Cyber Yellow color, so I figured I'd start a thread to compile pictures and impressions from folks that have seen the color in person. I absolutely love it in the official Cadillac brochure images, but I have no idea how much that reflects real life.
I just bought a set of tech bronze wheels for my 5BW about a week ago from my local dealer. It was around $3K in total and took about a week to show up. I could’ve gotten them a bit cheaper from any of the online parts places, but shipping costs were pretty high (one place wanted over $6500 to...
I'll add some data from the 5BW. My car has had a few different variations of the track alignment, and is currently at -2.5 deg front and -1.8 deg rear camber with 0.1 deg total toe in front and 0.2 deg total toe in rear. I had to go with aftermarket toe links to get enough rear camber as the...
Go to acdelcotds and pay the $22 for a 3-day subscription to the service manual. It’s rather straightforward. If I had the part numbers for the 5BW, I’d have already done it.
I’ve added probably a quart of oil in total between oil changes in the 10K miles I’ve driven my 5BW. This includes around 10 track days. I definitely think your use is abnormal and would take it to the dealer.
Get your alignment checked. The car will gain toe out in the rear when the suspension compresses under acceleration. If there’s not enough toe in or the toe is uneven it can cause one rear to toe out more than the other. It could just be the road camber too.
I just did that this weekend, only I was using two sets of factory wheels, tires, and sensors. It was totally seamless, and worked far better than the C7 system. The car seemed to figure out almost immediately there were different wheels and adapt to it.
I agree and would check the TPMS nut. The torque setting is really low though, like 62 in/lb. I would just put a socket on them and tighten by hand without a ratchet.
You mean the scrapes on the underwing? Yeah, mine has those. That part is actually lower than the splitter edge so in my case it often hits even if I spare the actual splitter.
