@Tall Steve The factory tune is a compromise of reliability, economy, drivability etc. GM does all kinds of validation testing in all kinds of weather, walks the tune up to a certain point and then turns it wayyyyy down to keep all sorts of things in line…even marketing and crowding other cars...
I reached out to them and asked them this. They’d mentioned they couldn’t get a press car where they were and now the cars are not really part of the new car news cycle so it doesn’t make a lot of sense to review them now…
I just did this install on my CT4. Make sure you have a couple of torx or star sockets and take your time. Also - get some plastic trim tools Amazon or Harbor Freight. Get the 3 day subscription for the manual from the GM manual site
-I disconnected my battery to avoid fault codes. 200 miles...
I like either the idea of the this but even more how about an Aero pack spoiler made of plastic….? Kind of afraid to commit to carbon fiber because of the bad roads around here.
Finally - I love these guys reviews on other cars. I didn't think they'd like it but they did and they finally gave the car some credit! I think it's good they lost the original footage and had some time with similar cars to compare it to.
@WONT TAP what about a tune that walks us right to the edge…I’d sacrifice ultimate performance for a tune that allows us to keep the stock spark plugs…? It’s one of the main reasons your intake is so appealing 👌
