The thought of driving the V home is what I'm focusing on to keep the dread in check. I've only driven my BW about 100 yards so far (from in front of the showroom to the service bay, LOL), but I can say that the clutch is like butter compared to my Chevy SS. The SS had the exact same gearbox...
I bought my BW to do driving schools in now that I'm retired. An MX5 RF was my second choice. I drove one, and it was more fun than a barrel of monkeys. I ultimately decided against it because I realized that I didn't want to have to deal with a 2 seater again now that I'm older (I owned a...
Thanks!
The regular CT4 is definitely not the same car, that's for sure. The biggest thing that jumped out at me is how many things Cadillac changed from the regular CT4 to create the V. I'm a retired suspension engineer that worked with/for numerous OEM's for 35 years (including working for...
I just purchased a new 2024 CT4-V Blackwing in Radiant Red. I've been a forum member for several months, and I was finally able to find a vehicle that had the options I wanted. I plan on taking track schools in the car, and will be signing up for the V Academy soon. The car has a manual...
Thanks!
We took delivery of the vehicle today, but ended up sending it to service because the A/C wasn't working.
I do have to say that Fields Cadillac in Jacksonville, FL is awesome to work with. They told me that they never make market adjustments over MSRP and don't add any accessories to...
I ended up buying the car that RKS passed on last week. I pick it up tomorrow from Fields Cadillac in Jacksonville. The dealership was pretty transparent and easy to deal with so far. Other than the ridiculous Florida doc fees which I can't do anything about, the deal was pretty good. No...
Unfortunately, the dealer fees in this state are outrageous. I have read many sources that say this state is the worst in the country to buy a car, but I think the OTD price you've been quoted is really good overall.
I was getting ready to make a bid on that car. I had to wait for my funds...
I was at the Rolex 24. I saw the cars pictured above in person -- there were two of them parked side by side with 2024's. The differences in the '25 exterior weren't very noticeable to me except for the one piece vertical LED's . I thought that the new instrument panel screens blend in pretty...
I worked for Tier 1 suppliers to OEM's for many years. It's been a few years since I checked, but GM used to require us to make service parts for a given vehicle platform available for a minimum of 5 years after said platform ended production. Other OEM's have similar requirements.
I'm currently looking for a 4BW, and I will not even consider one that has a sunroof. I plan to do several track schools a year with it, so the extra weight and and loss of some structural rigidity definitely factor into my decision. Also, I live in Florida, and in addition to the risk of...
I went and looked at the Black Diamond 4BW today. It was bright and sunny, and the color of the flake in the paint really pops. I really like it, but it drew my attention so much that the overall vehicle design elements tend to get lost in all the sparkle.
They also had a Coastal Blue 5BW...
As of yesterday, there is a Black Diamond 4BW at a dealer about an hour from me. I think my wife and I are going to go look at the color in person next week.
Riptide Blue is also available on the standard Chevy Equinox. I checked the inventory at my local dealer and they have 5 on the lot in that color. I'll have to stop by and take a look.
I'm ready to order a 4BW, and I want to see the color in person before I finalize the color choice.
