it really is fun and engaging just cruising around especially with the 6 speed. In mundane driving, I always use the V mode button with all settings maxed out (exhaust, steering, braking) except suspension in middle setting…so you still get all the pops from exhaust, tight steering, and a not...
The 2019 ZR1 actually led me to the CT5 blackwing. I was originally looking for a 2019 manual sebring orange ZR1 and the lack of clean examples at reasonable prices led me to the newer and more practical blackwing with similar engine and better 6 speed (as opposed to 7 speed manual).
Great buy on a well-optioned collector series car with striking color and low miles, and in excellent condition with ppf as well. Enjoy it…you don’t even have to do the painful 500 mile break in!
Glad you got it. I thought about buying that one and walking away from my ordered one because yours had every option I wanted and with the new msrp price delta from 22 to 24 including increased price of some options and the discount buying used, it was actually a big difference. When I picked up...
Welcome and love your matte black blackwing. BTW, was your blackwing the one at porsche Delaware? If so, you my friend got a very good deal on a fully loaded blackwing!
I wonder how it switched to on again for so many people…I also switched it to opt out again which I did a month ago as well and surprised to have to do it again today
I have higher end systems in other cars (23 speaker signature meridian system in a rover) and although not as good, the AKG is decent. It also depends on source…satellite radio not as clear as iPhone. Deep and low bass is not as strong as other systems but otherwise I think it is sufficient.
That looks great…the black badges and emblems, window tint, black side mirror inserts, wheels, and exterior carbon fiber all tie in together so nicely and pops on the red paint.
Really enjoying this ride as a DD. No complaints except turning radius which doesn’t come up often. Very comfortable and fun…decent sound system (better when playing iPhone music vs Sirius Xm). I wasn’t planning on driving in winter but lack of snow and moderate temps have enabled its use…some...
Savagecadillac.com should have what you’re looking for…I got all my badges and emblems from there and the black “blackwing” ones from 404parts. Both places were excellent to deal with.
Had a mid 90s (1995) impala SS and also later a 1991 Syclone (unique Marlboro 1 of 10 edition). Back in a GM vehicle with Blackwing after long hiatus and loving it.
I’ve been driving manuals for 20+ years and always leave in neutral with parking brake on a flat surface. Except when parking uphill or downhill, why leave the car in gear?
