I didn’t hear it much when temps were above 50 but as it got to 40s, it started. Yes it’s also getting on my nerves but now it’s snowing out and my car will set for 3 months so won’t have to listen to it for a while.
What type of ticking noise do you have. I also have a ticking noise and I think it comes from my hvac. Sounds like a loud hand clock. When I turn off hvac especially on a cold day, it stop. Is driving me nuts.
I also had a deposit on M2 and pulled if after some research. My neighbor actually has one. 1. I’m only 5’6 and my head touched the headliner in back seat. No go for my kids who will be in HS soon and won’t fit. 2. Fast but numb. Seems like most folks here came from other slush box numb...
You guys are funny stating you can wail on a 4BW on the street and not get arrested. Where I live most roads are 45 mph and hwy 60. Those numbers come very quickly in a 4BW. Heck top of 3rd gear on a 4 BW, your at speeds where u can get arrested. Both 4 and 5 BWs and most M cars will easily...
I wonder the same thing if I should have gone with a type r or 4BW. 5 is crazy bonkers when I drove it on track but on road it’s $100k that u get to use 25 percent of its potential. But fomo might have got me and now depreciation hit might have me just keep it forever. Oh the 1st world problems.
At Spring Mt, the novice 5BWs were running around 4-5 secs faster than novice 4BWs on East track. For north track, 5BWs were running 2-3 secs faster than 4BWs. If you’re in a 4 BW and even if you have had a lot of fast road driving, you really have to hustle in a 4BW to beat out the 5BWs even...
Maybe demand for blackwings will fall off thus it might hit our values short term, but maybe GM will just stop making them if they have to discount them. But what if I sell mine for a loss now but then wait another year and get one for a decent discount with a free driving school!
I agree about an expensive purchase just sitting over winter. And as the car market settles back from crazy, I’m assuming our BW will also come down. Even exclusive Porsche used market is starting to come down. If the car value stayed somewhat reasonable it’s easier to swallow.
I ponder when they will release the 2024 BW info. If they for some reason decide to increase HP on the car, I think our car value will go down. Sadly I can drive my car since it’s winter and it’s just sitting which makes me a bit antsy
I like to just throw my car here and there to see what carvana/vroom or dealerships will offer to see how value is holding up. I been getting between $78k (vroom) to $90k GM dealer. FYI - mine is CT5V manual with 1800 miles no carbon. Although I hope to keep it long term, it does feel nice...
Literally. Was going down a straight away around 105 in third and went to shift to fourth but accidentally pulled into 2nd! Car dash Christmas light on me but I put it back to 3rd and car just ran like nothing happened! Would be a heart attack if it was my car but these cars are built to...
If you go to the BW school, they do a figure 8 in wet and with traction on wet setting u can’t get the rear end to wiggle out. If you are in sport mode, it will give u some side to side but not much. But even if the LSD is doing its job, depending on tire and condition on road, you could be...
Ha! I also have a BW for summer and Ridgeline for hauling/boat and winter ride. It does get sad when I have to park the BW and just drive the truck all winter long. I wondered if I could get a type r for winter duty but then having two manual cars plus a truck really not practical?
I think LT4 will live on beyond 2024. The spy shots show quad exhaust on the future BW. Since the Escalade V still use the LT4 engine so I think they will keep making them for a while. But one would think it doesn’t make sense for GM to build LT4 for maybe 2500 CT5s and 1000-2000 Escalade Vs...
