There are two alignment pins on top of the struts that you can remove. Removing them allows you to push the top of the struts towards the engine since the mounting holes are much larger than the bolts that go through them. It's akin to installing camber plates. This alone will not get you to the...
In stark contrast to yesterday, the weather today was beautiful. Got some nice group photos of the cars. I think some of the cars were here just for the parade lap as there weren't as many today as there were yesterday.
Another cool experience today was getting to see a real-time pit stop...
Cool! I'll have to check out the post.
Thanks! I did not get to check out any of those on this trip, spent basically all of my time at the track. I have been to the Seneca Lodge and hiked the Gorge the previous times I've been here. Greatly enjoy both. I have yet to check out the old race...
I'm at the Six Hours of the Glen this weekend as a part of the Cadillac Car Corral, and I figured I would share a couple photos I took of some of the cars today, including the greatest number of Watkins Glen Edition cars in one place at the same time (as far as I'm aware). Got a bonus of the 4BW...
Second on not a fan of the Motive. Could not get the cap to seal at all. I think this is more a fault of the design of the GM reservoir. The three tabs just don't provide enough clamping force to create enough of a seal. I just un-plugged the battery and got my dad to help me do it the old...
I live 10 minutes from work and I often wish the drive was longer just so I could keep driving my 4BW haha! Backroads only for me which makes it even better. We've also been very fortunate to have had nothing but sunny weather for two full weeks now (which is very uncharacteristic for this time...
Yes it did. Here's a pic from VIR two weeks ago, I think this car looks amazing. I replaced the locking lug nuts with the regular ones for the track, so they aren't in the pic.
I'm gonna be there with mine next weekend, it'll be my first time there I'm looking forward to it. Are you planning on doing any other events with PCA Potomac? I've got their Pitt Race event in June on my schedule.
I kept my GTI, the little thing is very enjoyable to drive, especially with a manual. It satiates my hunger to mod. But like others have said, the 4BW is just so much better in every way. It's really no competition when it comes to handling and driving dynamics vs the GTI.
Mine's a 2019, so a...
Ok so spent some time looking at the pictures of the boards. Thanks for posting those. Unfortunately I don't think using the CT4 board on the CT5 screen will work, even if you could physically get them to fit together. The pins used on the connector for the display are completely different...
I'm an EE I'll try to help out!
Looks like both boards are using an Atmel mXT641T (the microcontroller above the larger ribbon cable header) which, after looking at the datasheet for the part, appears to be the controller for the touch inputs. That probably explains why the touch inputs are...
Just wanted to say hi and say that I'm looking forwards to joining the discussions and interacting with you all. I've got a '23 4BW Watkins Glen Track Edition with a manual on the way (awaiting shipment at the moment) that I am super excited for and I can't wait to drive it. It'll be my first...
