    Tracking your V-Performance Ride = Big $$$

My advice would be to do a BMW Track Day and see if you get bit by the track bug. Did you go to SpringMountain for the Cadillac Driving School? Be careful though, because when the track bug bites it is going to be expensive. I dropped about $30K in arrive and drive track sessions in 2022...

    CT4-V What Tires

I checked the 2022 warranty manual. There is a "racing" exclusion and an "abuse" exclusion. An HPDE track event is neither. However, if you execute a "money shift", well then that is improper driving and likely falls into the abuse category regardless of the location being a track or not...

If you are going to VIR for the Cadillac V-Club event, I will be there on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd.

    Tracking your V-Performance Ride = Big $$$

Check in your owner's manual for a section - Track Events and Competitive Driving (V-Series and V-Series Blackwing) ... You might need to add the front brake cooling ducts (CT4V-BW). This is the one time setup that then allows track wheel alignment : Ce

    Tracking your V-Performance Ride = Big $$$

I had the dealer perform a manual transmission fluid change. This is for the CT4V-BW MT6 with the Tremec TR-6060

    Tracking your V-Performance Ride = Big $$$

The Tremec 6060 calls for 4 qt of fluid. I was afraid that I was 1 qt short for the cooler. You cannot get 1 qt of the HP-MTF, you need to buy the case. The dealer did the fluid change with the 4 qts that I provided:

Oh no, the alignment was another $234. The $1090 was for the front suspension modification work.

    Tracking your V-Performance Ride = Big $$$

You are right, I think I got scammed on that item. There is no way that would take 5 hours of tech time to do. There were no parts involved. But once they had the car and I said to do the work they had me.

    ct4 v blackwing upgraded rotors

Here are the ones I just had installed. My First track day is on Monday July 3rd. We will see. The rears are slightly smaller that the stock OEM pads, but the tech did not mention an issue. DP81853.15SR11 EBC SR11 Race Pads 2019 Cadillac ATS-V All Models - Front DP83023.15SR11 EBC SR11...

    Tracking your V-Performance Ride = Big $$$

Hello forum members. We are all aware that running our baby "on track" increases vehicle maintenance costs. However, I was surprised at how much my CT4V-BW is costing for maintenance. In full disclosure, I am comparing my Cadillac track day running cost to my prior experience with a new BMW...

    Brake fluid exchange procedure

I just had a local Chevy Dealer perform a complete track prep for my CT4V-BW 6MT. Their work included a brake system flush with Castrol SRF (2) quarts that I supplied. I was billed $194 for the work with my supplied fluid which ran $141 + tax and shipping. FYI, my three local Cadillac dealers...

Cadillac V Performance Day @ New Jersey Motorsport Park (NJMP)

Wow, this looks like a sweet track. Looks similar to Monticello Motor Club. Maybe BMW or AMG will add this track to their list for Driving Instruction or HPDE events.

Cadillac V Performance Day @ New Jersey Motorsport Park (NJMP)

Sorry folks, I needed at least 9 others to commit. MoE was dropping the Private Group rate down to $4K and wanted their money when I went to their event on June 19th, so I had to turn them down. If we get another 8 to commit at a rate of $400, I will reach out to MoE again. But at $400 it...

I’ve found the secret sauce (track pads)

I just checked. You cannot see the pads, just the calipers. So I assume the reports are correct that these pads are smaller than the stocks. However, the Dealer tech did not mention that there was a problem. We will likely need to find another model that fits better. But I am good for now.

    CT4-V What Tires

Thanks for the feedback on tires. Yes, you are right about me overdriving everything - tires, brakes, etc. I am going to make a separate post on the brake pads. I just completed a track prep overhaul. I expect that the rear tires, which I did not change out yet, and the new fronts will be...

    Track mode engine/throttle reponse dull

The Blackwing has two stability control and traction control systems - Traction Control System (TCS) and StabiliTrak/ Electronic Stability Control (ESC). SpringMountain had a session on this item and they also mentioned the linear versus non-linear throttle response is affected by the Driving...

    CT4-V What Tires

FYI - I burned through the original fronts in 3.5 track days - that was Twenty (20 minutes) track sessions/heat cycles. I had to limp home from the track at lunch. The driver's side front outer edge had chunks coming off. Per the owner's manual - Track life is 100 miles. Reference the -...
