But CF1 splitter and spoiler are notably bigger than the base black ones. CF2 adds carbon grill trim, side rockers and rear diffuser. I’m going without CF. Mostly just for the sleeper look and the splitter would be a mess for winter driving.

Agreed, I'd definitely avoid the carbon splitter in San Fran. Otherwise every drive will involve a ton of cautious moments. Not worth it. I kinda like the more sleeper look of the non-CF cars too.

I'd question whether checking the "no cost splitter" option actually does anything. Might just be an oddity in the GM order codes. My guess you either get the carbon fiber or the base black splitter. That said, I still checked off the no cost one on my order! :)
