From far away, the black wing badge looks too much like the Genesis badge. I could see Cadillac not wanting anyone to mistake their flagship for anything other than a V series.
Blacked out front and rear badges and left colored centers. Ordered Piano Black Hyperdip online and used that for its glossy finish. Front Cadillac emblem pops off easily with a finger in the grill and pushing the top tab down to release. Rear emblem has two tabs that have to be released and has...
This is on the GM company store, whatever the hell that site is, but has a lot of official BW merchandise. I have a feeling it will look like this. You can see the “Blackwing” border follows the V outline. The BW team did not want a badge, so I think it would probably be very subtle if they are...
It’s not a “free market”. Flippers and dealer ADMs have caused the price to shift due to supply shortages. GM has acted on this with the unexpected higher base price. This market will never reach equilibrium.
So PowerStop makes the Z26 pad for the ZL1 Camaro: front Z26-1835 , rear Z26-1053
matthewAMEL mentioned a cold ring if we use the ZL1 PowerStop pad. So does the 5BW use the same calipers as the ZL1 just with a bigger rotor?
***update***
So it appears the 5BW may have the same caliper the SS...
Thanks! Any tips for the front? Cadillac shows to remove the entire front clip just to remove the grill emblem. Ain’t doin’ all that! Gotta be a better way.
LOL! Yes!
A “high performance” low dust pad like the PowerStop Z26 are amazing for city driving. Don’t need the bite the oem pads give until I hit the track. Figured there might be options since GM might share these calipers on other applications.
Anyone know of a low dust pad option on the 5BW? Are the calipers GM used on the BW off another application to cross reference with (zL1, vette, etc).? Looking to cut back on brake dust and save the oem pads for track use.
