CT5-V Anderson Composites Hood Installed

CT5-V Model
If you remove the tray, then does water go right on top of the engine during washing or rain ? Does the tray have a channel for water to runoff, in a good spot in the engine bay ?

If you remove the tray, water will run off right on top of the accessory belt. Since I have a JLT intake, it would also partially run right on top of the air filter too. It's certainly something you probably wouldn't leave off all the time if you ever drive in the rain or when you wash the car. I'm sure its designed to be removed for track use.

My car finally made it into the body shop today. Now its just a matter of time for my brother to work on it. Family work takes a backseat to paying customer work. Hopefully, the shop is not busy and I can get it back soon. The weather here on Long Island still kinda sucks. I have a small punch list of stuff I want to get done.

The heat shield is required to be installed for warranty purposes and honestly, it works VERY well. I left my carbon fiber exposed on the underside although it's nothing special to look at. I don't love the silver bolts used to hold the rain tray so I replaced mine with these, makes for quicker removal too.

What size clamping screws does the carbon fiber hood use? Just in case I need to order them. Thanks.

The work has started and my brother says the fitment was very good. Now some paint and clear coat. I am only leaving the vents as carbon fiber. Then after a few weeks of paint curing, I will get the PPF done on the hood.

I did the same, left the carbon fiber vents exposed. I waited 6 weeks before getting some mild paint correction done and then PPF on the hood.

Picked up my ride today ! Came out "MINT" ! My brother says that Anderson Composites made a very good quality product. Went on very easy without any modifications. I only would have liked if the underside was clearcoated and looked as good as the top of the hood. I'm OCD that way. VERY HAPPY with my purchase.....and my brothers body work !
LET THE CAR SHOW SEASON BEGIN !!
