TPMS sensor part #?

My experience with my 25 5BW. I ordered 4x Sensors #13554170 and Sensor Nuts #13581557. Once installed the new Wheel/Winter Tires, I took it got a spin, and the car didn't recognize the sensors and eventually showed an error with the TPMS sensors. I didn’t have the learning tool, so this is what I did. I put the car in relearn sensors mode (if you go to maintenance, tires, it will show a “relearn sensors”) and follow the process of deflating each the tire (a good 5 to 8 seconds) to activates the sensors (similar to using the tool) in this order: Front Left (wait for honk), Front Right (honk), RR, and RL and…. SUCCESS!

We will see when I put the summers on next spring, if I have to do it again, or will remember the old sensors.

Thanks to julian26 for pointing out how to get to the relearn process on a 2025+. I took some pics of the screens.
1. tap Vehicle Status
2. tap Maintenance
3. tap the Tire Pressure infographic
4. tap Relearn button

Then follow the process julian26 outlined above - LF, RF, RR, LR. Wait for a honk at each tire to confirm. I have the reset tool, but if not use the deflate procedure to activate the sensors.

Doesn't the manual say that the car will learn the sensors on its own after a few miles of driving?

Mine is a '22, but I got the same 13554170 sensors from rockauto for my drag radials. They automatically connected with the car within a mile or two. No relearn needed.

What reset tool do you have? I have two and neither of them is waking up any of the sensors to pair with the vehicle when in relearn mode.

Haven’t tried the deflate method yet.

Just one I bought off Amazon. You can get ones that work for GM only or one that works for GM and Ford. I spent a couple of extra bucks and bought the one that works for both.

Note that there is a trick on how to hold it. Hold the antenna at the tire level and point it toward the stem (i.e. the antenna faces toward the center of the wheel).

Thanks. I have this one and an older version of it:

Same part number as yours. I’ve held the antenna on both every which way imaginable and no dice.

These are the sensors I bought, says they cross reference to 13554170:

Frustrating!

This is an aftermarket part and not from GM.

You can get OE GM TPMS sensors for practically the same price from RockAuto.

I know, I’ve just used TPMS.com and Huf sensors for years, they’re German, and never had an issue. My luck might have run out.

It was not the case for my '25 BW. I had to do the procedure.

I think this is because you did not clone the ID's from your factory sensors and therefore the sensors have completely different ID's that need to be re-learned.

By keeping the sensor ID's the same, it basically makes the car automatically learn new positions to streamline tire rotation procedures. In reality, you're "fooling" the the car into thinking that the new tires/wheels you put on are the same as the old ones, just in different positions/rotated.
