Curated by Cadillac - Hand built CT5BW

Honestly it's one of the better implementations, much better than the generic curved rectangle retrofits that BMW has been doing.

View attachment 31680There's no cohesion or integration whatsoever, just took away the old pod and slapped that screen on.
Agreed, that's awful. The 33" screen in the 5BW looks very premium, its just that the instrument cluster doesn't quite look as nice to me as the 22-24 screen and I hate that they removed a lot of the hard buttons and switches to access info on the instrument cluster and HUD. Lots of info now is buried in touch screen menus. However, like I said before the infotainment portion of the screen is WAY better than the 22-24 screen.

I'd be happy if they had a $5k custom color option. I don't need a fully bespoke treatment, but it would be nice to have more color options.

Or even if they offered the same options as the other Caddy models. Seriously, why TF is Opulant Blue Metallic NOT an option????

Agreed. GM way overshot the BMW individual / Audi exclusive model and went straight for Bentley/Rolls strategy.

Paying 5k for a custom color is exactly what BMW does and they are selling custom colors like hot cakes.

60k extra for an entirely hand built Blackwing is a harder sell.

I also wonder how much hand building happens. Do the cars arrive at the center just unpainted and without a finished interior or are they really hand building Blackwings there.

A true hand welded full seam chassis would be nice.

I don't mind the interior or brakes, just not with that exterior colour.

Rule of thumb is if your exterior is a shouty colour, you want a more neutral colour interior to contrast it, and vice versa

That interior would work much better with a silver, black or white exterior, and that paint I would go natural tan or dark brown interior instead.

I don't care for the bright red door panels with those seat colors. About the only thing they might match is the piping.

or a slightly darker grey for that matter.

PTS option would be great and also popular. Or just access to any color in the cadillac lineup since it is a V.

even pearl white would be nice. that looked great on the previous gen V

I wonder if, when building this car using the online configurator, Cadillac would add a $650 upcharge like the Corvette does when you pick the Adrenaline Red interior with Red Mist Metallic Tintcoat for the exterior, because the colors don’t match up.

Cadillac marketing is struggling. I wish I could help.. I've been to a couple events and their swag and marketing vehicle choices have felt off. The last event I went to they had 2 bare minimum base model CT5-V Blackwings in white. Maybe to get those financially stretched into dealership doors? They did have a few black diamond tricoat Escalades and the marketing folks were nice though.

On this example rig the exterior doesn't match the seats doesn't match the piping doesn't match the door pads. But it does 'get the people talking!'

That said, when I'm back in the market, I'm a target consumer of this.

Lockhart Cadillac in Indianapolis has an allocation for one of these. There will be an ADM . I thought about it and it would be cool BUT just couldn't justify the cost given that it is pretty much like mine (2022) only with a custom paint job. But if you have some extra cash......

Does anyone have details? Does 158 become the base price? No cf no seat upgrades ? Or are they all l fully loaded and 158 is the price ?

The sales guy I work with at Lockhart didn't have much information beyond what is in that video, which isn't much. I suspect they would put you in touch with your "concierge" and then you choke on all the prices (like a Porsche per peej!)
