Anyone reading this forum for any amount of time knows that delivery happens when it happens (deliveries to Canada seem especially prone to delay). Time estimates are worthless and comparison to other makes are irrelevant. It's just the way it is.

Yeah and it's not a blackwing thing, it's all GM and it was this way when I ordered a Camaro in 2009 and when my brother ordered a Silverado a few years ago.

So my dealership just sent me this screenshot. Car is expected in Ontario, Canada July 9-16, 2025. A full 2 months after production.

Very disappointing, Porsche got me my GT3 from Germany in 24 days, and Honda just confirmed my FL5 Type R is to arrive June 23-28. The Type R was built after the Blackwing.

Super ridiculous, the Blackwing is built at a factory about 3 hours away from my dealership.

Only 2 months??? GM moving fast nowadays. Jealous.

So my shipping date was updated various times from end of June, to middle of July, to middle of August.

I finally lost my cool and reached out to GM Canada CEO by email- the Executive Review Team was able to get in touch with the factory and put the car on a truck within 3 days.

It is now on a truck and on its way to the dealership. Car is expected at the dealership by this weekend or the beginning of next week.

Will continue to update.

Well, the GM Executive Team came through. Got the car to the dealership within 5 days of making initial contact with the CEO of GM Canada! Cars got a story now. Super excited.

As difficult as they make it for US customers I can only imagine how hard it is for those outside the US.

And those aerodynamic wheel covers look downright silly!

But really, that color is starting to grow on me. In that light (slightly overcast?) it looks more robin egg blue and less metallic than I thought, though I have not seen that shade in person. Looks good.

Drift does not have much metallic. The metallic it does have is blue. So it looks more blue in the sun than in the shade. I was torn between Drift and Deep Space. But my last 2 cars were dark gray so I wanted different. I had not seen Drift in person when I ordered so it was a bit of a gamble. But it paid off as the color looks awesome in person.

Everyone will ask - what color is that, is it blue or is it gray. I always tell them "both"... It is a different shade in different light. As with you, ordered sight unseen and extremely pleased. We will start seeing more of drift out there though. They offer it on the Colorado truck "Snow Drift" is its new name for the truck.
