    4BW Rear Differential Fluid

I used it on my c7 z06 for 1 year. some track and street use. Worked fine. No hiccups in elsd operation. No need for friction modifier. I feel its more important to have the correct level and viscosity rating for your intended use.

    4BW Rear Differential Fluid

If you plan on running it on the track, then run the 75w90, otherwise it'll be fine with 75w85 for street use. All the publications ran it on stock 75w85 at the track so unless you're going to see extended track time in 100 degree heat, I wouldn't do it. I plan on testing a few laps on mine to...

    4BW Rear Differential Fluid

The GM fluid should not require the modifier. I find the GM fluid much too expensive for what is essentially differential fluid with some modifier added. I use Amsoil in my cars, much more affordable and does not require friction modifier. I've tracked a C7 Z06 with Amsoil differential fluid and...

Next Gen ICE CT5 Officially Confirmed!!!!

If they made a new CT5 that had the handling and power of a SS1LE with a V8 LT2 inspired engine from the C8, the comfort, space and ride of the Blackwing I would trade my current CT4V Blackwing for it. I love my car, but the desire of that V8 low rpm grunt for highway mileage and the sound of a...

    Front plate

I got the cravenspeed platypus bracket. I was not a fan of the sly bracket design due to needing a separate leveler to get it aligned properly.

Maintenance at 1521 Miles Plus Some Other Questions

I change all fluids which have parts that need to mate/break in within the first 2000 miles. My experience with all GM cars is the rear differential is underfilled from the factory. The transmission and both the differential have a lot of flakes in the oil from the initial break in. The motor...

    Oil Consumption on 4BW

Way too much consumption. I swapped my break in oil at 2350 miles and got back around 6.8 quarts. Dip stick pretty close to the level I measured prior to draining the oil. That oil is going somewhere, if its the exhaust, it should show up on the tips as wet oil. I had oil seeping into the...

    Automatic emergency braking?

I've turned mine off from the moment I got in the car. I've experienced it in other cars and I leave the alerts on (beeps) just in case. Majority of the time I'm already on the brake when the beeps occur. The one time I thought I was going to crash on the highway and did a threshold brake to 99%...

Cleaning this thing is a BITCH !!!

My C7 Z06 counters with even MORE vents and places to clean. My Blackwing feels simple in comparison.

    4BW Rear Differential Fluid

I usually do both my differential and transmission after initial breakin 2k miles as the parts should be mated well at this point. I find the fluid to be pretty full of metal shavings after breakin and don't want that crap recirculated for long.

    CT4-V Dash rattle, 2024 Blackwing A10

I discovered my rattle after 3 days of ownership on my 26. It was the plastic cover for the pdr/rain sensor being loose. After resecuring it, the rattle was gone.

    4BW Rear Differential Fluid

I followed tapout tuning's recommendation of running amsoil 75w90 in mine after the initial break in period. It's what I ran in my camaro 2ss 1le elsd and my corvette c7 z06 lsd. I'll be swapping out the transmission fluid in a few weeks as well once I'm satisfied it's broken in as well.

2026 5 BW Collision Alert Issue

My 26 CT4V Blackwing just resets the alert to vibrate. Annoying as there's no timeline of when this happens. It's just random. I discover it's reset when my seat scares the hell out of me indicating a collision alert.
