Go with oem pads. GM sells direct on Amazon and they are reasonable. Or rockauto. There are two front oem pads. With and without chemfers. Pads With tenders have slightly less pad material but allegedly squeak less.

But seems like a very definitive write on GM stating that certain date code transmissions are defective and should be replaced vs. repaired.
BMW dealers in Chicago run $99 oil change special all year long. I think Blackwing benefit from some GM lesser expensive parts but other things are high. Like front rotors or oem pads. There are no alternatives .... while in bmw world there are several quality vendors which keep oem prices in...
I don't know how GM does it but given that most brake components like abs modules and such are off the shelf supplier fare - secret sauce is in the firmware. I am pretty sure you would need to reflash your abs and ecm and retrofit CCB RPO production code into the car for the full impact.
