I don't want to give the AI generated video a click, in the vain hope that withholding my view will stop encouraging that kind of thing... see human generated video below.
That being said, yeah, if I wanted the fastest sedan in the world I'd get a Lucid Air Sapphire. If I want the most fun...
My outside guess is that Cadillac will be borrowing Zhou Guanyu from reserve duties at Ferrari and pairing him with Checo. At the end of the day there has to be some marketing return for the operation, and this pairing covers GM's two biggest markets for Cadillac.
Maybe not vintage but love it. Great color too.
Re: what counts as Vintage, I drive with a group that is 'mostly vintage' in its criteria, with a small allowance for modern cars like mine. They define Vintage as anything 1999 or older, and that certainly makes me feel old!
It seems like a lot of the bottom-end failures happen at low miles, but @CT5BWenthusiast had rod bearings go at 21,000. Issues with lifters seem to be something that could happen any time. Though for context I'm still tracking 'only' 15 reported failures on this forum from MY22-24
@Slick Blackwings that sucks, I'm really sorry to hear it. These are amazing cars, it is so annoying that they come with this 'Sword of Damocles' engine. I have added you to the actual "list" linked below. You've got a 22 and 24 in your profile... which one failed?

I'm curious to know too, just because I'm still trying to find a dealer that's trustworthy. On my last visit to my local dealer (in the town where it's good to be alive) I was told my 21K mile 5BW was 'in the red' for a transmission AND differential fluid change (when dropping off the car, prior...
I was not expecting to find this question in this chat but it's one I'm well qualified to answer! I've owned a 991.2 (2019) Carrera T since new in 2019, and along with the Blackwing it's in the 'will never sell' category. For context, I traded in a GT4 for it and I could not be happier with my...
I guess someone told ChatGPT that Sophisticated = British. Anyone who has met a British person holidaying abroad on the continent might feel differently, lol.
I do feel like we Blackwing owners here in the USA are cut from the same cloth as the Jag guys in the UK, but we just got a lot luckier...
Every time I start to think about this question, I ponder what other (new) exciting manual V8 RWD sedan I would want to trade it for, and then stop thinking about that question :D
In all seriousness, it's hard to judge the market on a niche car like this. The early wave of 'collectors' bailed...
I'm with @jbawden in that I don't see the point in fighting each other over what's best, 4BW or 5BW. Very different philosophies, so everyone can be happy with their choice.
However I'm compelled to point out there is no 'Chassis Issue' with the 5BW even without the PP. The 4BW and 5BW do not...
I don't know anything about the OP, but at least in my case, when I learned to trust the MR dampers this car got a lot more fun on tight and technical backroads at quite legal speeds.
Some reviewers like DWA claimed the 5BW was a 'sweepers car' where you can't get into a good rhythm on a tight...
Cadillac is probably doing the same thing as other ICE automakers who went all-in on electrification - figuring out how to walk it back. The whole thing depended on government mandates and subsidization for the infrastructure, and now that is never going to happen in the US. AFAIK Cadillac has...
