There’s a new one?! The Pebble is underrated for sure. In relation to the Apple Watch I think of it as the equivalent of the Palm Pilot to the iPhone …
Or depending on where you live, hundreds of thousands! It's a superb watch but that's a no-go from me when you can get an 'unworn' one 'used' for $35K. There is only so much jewelry and lady Datejusts that a man can buy.
I do feel like the brand overall is tainted by this; I love being able to...
The Celestiq pick is a bit weird. I notice it comes under its own heading so maybe, to give C&D their due, it is separate from the "Greatest American Heroes" list? I don't see any sense to it, as it has by no means been a commercial success or any kind of halo for the brand. In fact until today...
When I read your post, I was racking my brain ... Celestiq... is that the new SUV? I had to look it up. Oh, that thing. At least GM didn't bet the whole company on that like Jaguar did with the 00.
I like to think I pay closer attention to all things Cadillac than most of the general public...
If there is a post-internal combustion age, then the 5BW will almost definitely make the shortlist of 'Peak Internal Combustion Engine' cars. I am not going to worry about any theoretical change in administration or emissions policies in the future though, I'll be too busy driving the resale...
Here's me thinking my 24K miles is a lot, very nice @rdollie !
Mine is mostly on the 'bank vault' end of the spectrum although there is an occasional plastic sounding buzz on the highway on my 22. I've seen some past threads indicating it might be the door mirror caps. Mine has black door...
I hate to think I'm responsible for Lotus losing a sale, but yeah... it sucks. Here's the whole thread. Poll for Those with Paint Blistering / Bubbling Defect
I am also looking at Evora GT's. It's basically the same car as the Emira but a bit lighter. Before pulling the trigger on a GT4 see if...
I can't even imagine the internal politics within GM on making a mid-engine halo sports/super car a Cadillac. I'm sure the Corvette guys would have a fit.
It's interesting how little penetration the idea of Cadillac as super sports sedans has made in the US, let alone worldwide. I was talking...
Don't get me wrong, a hybrid assist TT 3.0L V6 dual clutch could be very nice, but it seems like the market is going to be very well served by those already - not sure what would be special about a Cadillac in that configuration.
That’s an interesting point… I suppose it’s all relative. It’s definitely a lot more agile than the 5BW with more steering feel, but I could see how it would feel numb compared to an Elise or an Exige! I think I would be better served by one of those, provided I can squeeze my 6’3 self into one...
Interesting take. One thing about Classics, hard to predict based on 'what is most popular now'. The fact that the BW is under the radar if anything makes it more likely to be more sought-after in future.
Next up the in their video is the Lotus Emira. A digression - I actually test drove one...
Real question is, will it have a manual, will it even be a V8?
F1 is global, so if they want to capitalize on that they'll want to build a 'World' performance car.
If true:
On the plus side, maybe the wagon is ON?
On the minus side, the biggest selling 'world' market (you know where) taxes...
