My 22 4BW is at the dealer currently and I received a call yesterday informing me that I need new rotors and pads and all four corners. Something to the tune of $5000. I haven't seen them yet, but will definitely be taking a look. I'm not having great experiences with my dealership.

I get what you are saying but sticking a solid surface which impedes airflow in front if the intercooler seems like it could be detrimental to the health and longevity of the turbos as well.
