Has anyone gone from 4V to 5V

Thanks to all for the comments. You got me. Getting a 2026 CT5V Summit/Sky Cool/Bronze Wheels- most importantly with Precision Pack. It has 700miles. First owner had it long enough to get it a full PPF before he decided to trade for one with dark interior and no sunroof

Has anyone gone from 4V to 5V

I enjoyed it. Interesting to drive a car that is so similar to mine but very different also. Engine was obviously great. At times, I feel like I need to drive my 4 really quickly. I could see myself being perfectly content just crushing around changing gears in a 5. The two really fast cars...

Has anyone gone from 4V to 5V

Thanks. I'm gonna drive a 5V today for only second time. I may check in with you in a month or so and get your updated thoughts

Has anyone gone from 4V to 5V

Well, I am wanting to get him a slightly newer car for college since he will be doing 250mile road trips home. He has a 2018 Golf R 6MT that we paid $31K for 2.5 years ago, it's worth $30,700 now per KBB. I told him since he got a significant scholarship, we could trade that and get something...

Has anyone gone from 4V to 5V

I would not spec CCs standalone. I definitely prefer feeling those imperfections a little. I have this fear I am going to lose a bit of the - for lack of a better word - precision there is with the 4. That's why I have assumed I would want a PP car. Gonna be keeping my eye out for a PP car I...

Has anyone gone from 4V to 5V

I'm headed to a conference next week and I should be able to drive a 5V 6MT while I am there. It's doesn't have PP - which I would like to try and feel like I would want. As a PP owner, what's your take on it.

Has anyone gone from 4V to 5V

I bought a 4V 6MT in Dec 2024. Only cars I considered were the two BWs. I ultimately went with the 4V because I thought it would be more fun for my usage. My commute is 4miles each way, on surface and neighborhood streets. I don't track the car but I do a fair amount of country/canyon...

    Is this normal Cadillac Service?

Sadly, the next closest dealerships are both an hour drive away (instead of 20mins) but I don't want these clowns working on my car

    Is this normal Cadillac Service?

I took my car in to have a couple of small issues checked out. I had to make an appt 6-7 weeks out because they were too busy to look at these when I got oil changed in late August. That was annoying - especially because they didn't tell me they weren't going to look at them until I picked...

    Am I crazy?

Not to start any 4v5 beefing here but that is the reason I ultimately went with the 4BW over the 5BW.

I am happy with the switch. I really love having a manual again. I'm not sure any of my initial impressions have changed much. -I do miss the sound of my QV sometime - when you have some road to accelerate and rip off paddle shifts. -The 4BW is definitely gripper and more composed in...

    CT4-V CT4 V blackwing vs RS3 6 months later

You dropped 4lbs, Don? Did it fix the seat creaking?

    CT4-V CT4 V blackwing vs RS3 6 months later

Anyone ever find a decent home remedy for this? My driver seat creaks a ton and passenger makes minimal noise. I am skeptical dealership would be helpful. (For the record, like DonD, I am not a fat American at 6'2 185)

Will do. I will drive it a bit more and write something more detailed. Initial impressions Damping = edge Cadillac. I think Alfa is too bouncy above normal mode. I don't mind stiff - just stop bouncing. GMs work with damping is next level and far ahead of rest of segment. Steering Feel =...
