I'd reach out to the dealer/GM and request trade-in assistance on a new Blackwing. The manufacturer (GM) *should* be more willing to jump on this. The car doesn't get branded as a lemon law (which greatly reduces the value of the car, a positive for the dealer/GM) and they can pay the difference...
The support so far has been great. They've answered all of my questions. All steering wheel / drive knob controls are retained. I ordered one with a small discount.
I too retrofitted something similar in a 2016 BMW. I rarely had to switch between the UI's. Once I set the settings I want...
Continental Extreme Contact Sport 02. Just as good performance as the PS4S. About 5-10% cheaper and a little quieter on the highway. They also run a bit narrower than the Michelins so you can get maximize tire width while minimizing chances of rubbing.
Those are 2 different things. That's trying to retrofit a screen that was never designed for our cars vs a product that is specifically for the CT4's. My previous experience with these aftermarket screens is positive. Good fitment and performance.
I did some searching on eBay. There are some with an 8-core Qualcomm CPU, 8G of RAM, and 128G of storage which are decently beefy specs. They most likely won't lag or have performance issues. I may have to try it and take it to the Audio Shop on Lamar in Austin lol.
Even better, you could have...
I'm in the Killeen area although I rarely take my Blackwing to Austin (3-4 times a year). I didn't notice any excessive noise. It's not as quiet as my '23 Audi A4, but I also have 305 Continental ECS 02's on the rear. There is some good sound deadening in the car, the wheel wells are carpeted...
I'm waiting a bit for EVs to get better in terms of charging infrastructure. My small city of 160k just got 10 Tesla Superchargers at our local shopping center. I currently have a '23 Audi A4 as a daily and I frequently travel out of town 2-3 times a month so gas made more sense... for now. Glad...
I got mine with 5,6xx miles Jan. 2023. Has 8,6xx miles currently. So 2,700-2,800 miles/year.
I have one rattle coming from the rear that I haven't dug into yet. I solved just about all the other ones. I got in my friend's F90 M5 Comp with 40k miles and it had some rattles. You can't win with...
Agreed. My tuned BMW's with 600+ crankhp used stock plugs at stock gap and lasted a long time. Stock coils never needed to be changed. The ignition system on these Blackwings is absolutely piss poor. That's the one thing the Germans do in fact do better.
Yeah the rear is easily the worst looking part of the car. Not a fan of the envelope trunk shape. Lot of blank space without any lines to help break it up. Agreed the CF spoiler helps tremendously. The stock black spoiler just doesn't do it for some reason.
I still have an annoying plastic rattle by my left ear. Thought it was the B pillar, stuffed a bunch of foam, but that wasn't it. Sprayed silicone lubricant all along the door seals. Nada. Next thing I'll look at is the black plastic in the seat. It does make a lot of creaking noises when...

Your first point is valid, as the chief engineer did mention weight and weight distribution, but the interview posted with him said that a V8 would fit. There's no way a Camaro and ATS that share a platform wouldn't be able to fit the same motors. I don't believe that for 1 second.
The 2...
