Just about every other engine GM makes right now is solid besides their V8's, which seems backwards lol. Even their 1.2L turbo 3-cylinders are doing fine.
Will take some R&D and lots of $$$ if you want to go carbon ceramic on a 4BW. Would need to spend some time trying to retrofit the CT5-V BW carbon ceramic brake option or possibly ZL1 1LE. Rotors alone will run several thousand dollars plus whatever else you'll need to retrofit.
ANC and ESE are 2 separate things, but how Cadillac implemented them, they are tied together. If you install the ANC bypass you will also have ESE deactivated.
I ordered that one. Ordered April 30th and shipped May 5th. They did send an email letting me know when it would be going out. Overall the customer service was good and it got to me within a reasonable amount of time and the product does work.
Hardly bulletproof. AFM/DoD/DFM failures since 2014. Plus we're seeing some engines eat themselves. There's a few threads already on 5BW engine failures on this very forum. Everyone makes junk these days, including Toyota/Lexus.
When you say tinted windows, are they ceramic? And what level of heat rejection? I always get the highest heat rejection offered. Also have a windshield sunshade and the top 1/3 of my windshield is also tinted. Here in Texas, my 4BW will cool the cabin down pretty nicely.

32, Software engineer here. 4BW was one of my last hoorahs of stupidly spending my money before I got a house. I wfh so I barely drive either of my cars (daily is a '23 A4). How I ended up with 2 sedans is beyond me. Did I mention I stupidly spend my money? 😁
Continental ECS02. Similar performance, cheaper price, a bit quieter on the highway although they're still not quiet lol. I run 305 rear and 275 front on my 4BW. The new Pirelli PZ5 came out but it's not available in a lot of sizes yet. That's the new #1 summer tire.
Hey guys, installed the LLJ Customs bypass on my CT4 BW. No more ESE and didn't notice a significant difference in road noise on the highway. Audio shop took 30-45 mins and charged $50. So worth it. Got rid of the damn interior buzz around 2000-2500rpm. Also they mentioned they can install an...
I'm fairly certain looking at previous posts in this thread. Also on most other cars, they're tied together as well (Ford, Toyota, Nissan, etc). If it doesn't, oh well, I tried lol.
Getting the LLJ bypass harness installed next weekend at an audio shop that has experience with ANC. They said they can either unplug at the amp, disconnect the microphones, or use a bypass. They've had success with all 3 depending on the car. If it works, I'll be joyful to get rid of the ESE...
