The lesson is to track your car more ;) on my 5 I run track alignment all the time and the outsides to wear out first. Went through a lot of tires in 15k not just one when you’re track driving though
GM spent a lot of time and went through numerous renditions to finally arrive at that TPC spec. they even removed the rear rim guard to give that much extra little bit of space for suspension travel. all of the elctro mechanical systems were programmed and optimized given that tire too.
A few things. The cars with CCB have different calibrations in the magride vs cars with steels due to the difference in unsprung weight.
CCB in the BW have the same stopping performance on track & the only real advantage is lower unsprung weight on track. Per Brembo the rotor life on track for...
FWIW the engine in mine went b/c the computer leaned it out a cylinder bank when it shouldn't have. There was nothing wrong with the motor from a who built it perspective or parts failure. It was still running very strong for a motor that nuked half the cylinder rings I'll say that. Under boost...
they're a completely different type of CCB rotors. watch the savagegeese video. they go into a lot of detail on the brakes. the new material in the BW is more expensive vs the c7
There was likely nothing wrong with the rotors that were on the car. I’ve abused my 5 about as much as one can at the track and can easily go 3 sets of pads before the rotors are to their minimum thickness allowed

I can also do without the CF

Would you permit a 3rd party leasing company? I did this with my RS6 and they just pay the dealer the full purchase price direct as if it was a cash transaction. The only difference is that the car would get titled in the leasing company name rather...
933.5 gallons at 10k miles. (About 10.7 mpg)
I’m getting low to mid 20s commuting (mostly highway) & 2-3 mpg at the track. I’ve obviously put a lot of track time on her lol.
