So here is my story.

Ordered my 2022 CT5 Balckwing June 16th, 2021 from a friend of mine that has been at the same dealer for 30 years. Was told production would happen in October 2021 with delivery in November 2021. Much like everybody else here, my build continued to get pushed out, and out, and out again. I made many calls and had a few chats with Cadillac to no avail. My S/A also talked with his Sales Manager, General Manager and his Cadillac sales rep trying to get info/answer as to what was happening, again no response or answer from Cadillac. This is the truly frustrating part...

Thus when I heard that 2026 may be the last year with the V8 and manual transmission, I decided to jump back into the rodeo. Things went much smoother this time and only four and a half years later I am finally the proud owner of a new CT5-V Blackwing. This time I waited approx 90 days for my dealer to get an allocation. My order was then placed and accepted in late January and my car was built in March and shipped immediately to the dealer and I picked it up on April 2nd. I had my dealer PDI the car but not wash it as it was going directly to my PPF guy for paint correction and PPF. I ordered a relatively simple spec as I am not big on the $14.4K carbon fiber exterior packages plus I drove one with the Precision Package and it rode a bit to rough for me at my advanced age. I paid MSRP with no add-ons. Here is my spec:

2026 CT5-V Blackwing
Argent Silver Metallic
Six speed manual
Jet black with jet black accents full semi-aniline seats with carbon fiber seatbacks
Brakes, Carbon Ceramic with cross drilled rotors
Brake calipers red
Seat belts color torch red
No sunroof

Mods so far:
Suntek Reaction PPF on entire car with Suntek Reaction gloss black roof, all edges wrapped.
Gtechniq Halo ceramic coating on top of PPF.
Ceramic coat front and back of wheels and brake calipers.
Llumar 40% ceramic window tint all around with 5" strip on front windshield.
ZL-1 Black jack pads.
Removed all standard chrome emblems from front fenders and trunk.
Savage Cadillac blackwing emblems on front and rear.
Blackwing emblems on wheel centers.
Red valve caps.
Blackwing logo puddle lights.
Smoked out front reflectors.
Lloyds plush floor mats in ebony with red trim/black stitching and Blackwing logo.
JLT Cold Air Intake.
Sun visor air bag warning sticker covers.
33 inch screen protector on dash screen.
UVS100 Premier series custom sunscreen for windshield when parked.

I am super happy with the way it came out and the way it accelerates, shifts, rides and looks. Its been a long road I had to go down to finally get this car.

Thank you, my first order in 2021 was for black raven but I really like the silver as its a bit darker silver than most of the cars out there today.

CAI really for looks under the hood, they say it picks up 10-15 hp and a bit of torque but not sure I would be able to feel that anyway.

Those Lloyd's mats are nice tho. Makes me wanna drive my old corvette barefooted.

Yepper, I saw that nobody did the Blackwing emblems, instead most did the black Cadillac emblems and I like to have my stuff a bit different. I understand its not for everybody. I also removed all of the standard Blackwing fender and CT5-V trunk emblems for simply a cleaner look. This is one of those cars that "if you know, you know" and that's what I really like about it. Strictly a personal choice. YMMV.

most folks who kinda knows will still call it a CTS-V anyways. Only 1/5 guys will ask you if its a Blackwing.

I respectfully beg to differ. I have a 22 without BW badges (they mailed them to us in think in the late Fall of 22... And they are still in my drawer)... And everybody asks me if it's a BW (at least 1-2x/ week).
Guess we just have some observant people here in South Jersey
