This wheel was damaged by the dealership before I got the vehicle. I bought it across the country so they told me to get it fixed and then they will repay me whatever it cost. I had one wheel repair company look at it and they said it couldn't be fixed. I do have one more place to bring it, but it won't be for another week or so til I can get out there so thought I'd ask for input here first. Anyone have something like this and can give me advice I'd appreciate it!

This wheel is on a factory new car? If so, tell the dealer you do not accept a fixed wheel. They should send you a new one, or coordinate it with a local dealer.

Of course, I say that just now recalling when my 2022 Rift Metallic 5 arrived from Sewell, it had a small door ding on the back. Dustin told me fix it anywhere I want and they would cover it. I had a PDR guy pop it out and could never see it again. Maybe if the wheel is fixable do it, but it sounds like the result will not be the equivalent of new, so they should change it for you.

I thought about that, but really, I just want my car and want to drive it and be done with it. First I had to wait a couple weeks for transport, and then there was a very small bit of damage to the black piece above the exhaust outlets, and that's in the body shop now getting replaced (transport company paying for replacement, not fix), and the ETA on that is June 2nd. I couldn't care less if it's a brand new wheel or if it looks like a brand new wheel, I just want my car and to drive it more haha

Oh man, I bought the paint for that color code, and I have yet to try it.
I'll do that this weekend and report back.

The transport company damaged all 4 of my wheels taking it on and off the truck. I complained to the salesman and he had his wheel shop fix them at the dealer. This definitely happens unfortunately.

There doesn't appear to be anything wrong with the wheel in terms of drivability, so if your goal is drive, then a replacement wheel is the way to go. You can drive it while waiting and then when it comes in, its just a quick swap and your done. Whatever the repair is, it's never going to be good as new and you paid for a new wheel.

Exactly. I would think a new replacement wheel is a much easier, faster, and guaranteed outcome solution!

In my view, that tiny ding isn't worth getting excited about. Get a small jar of touchup paint with a brush and touch it up. If I were a senior dealership individual, I'd roll my eyes and wouldn't do any more than that other than maybe a gift certificate.

I need to take my CTV-4 to the dealer, the rear view mirror flopps around like a fish out of water, VASTLY more serious than the issues described. Need to take it to the dealer next week. Don

Not yet, I have ceramic spray on there I need to wash off. The kit came with primer, base coat and clear, so I want to lightly sand the area, prime and then top coat for best results.

I'll leave off the clear for now, or find a matte clear coat.
