Im not in sales so I don't know about the details but supposedly there will be limited availability of Deep Sea Blue. This is genuine GM media.

I’ll ask at the Detroit auto show tomorrow if anyone is there for Cadillac. So that blue looks different then the deep sea metallic on the Escalade ? Or is it the same color except the computer render is off ?

Dude opening the door looks like the lead instructor from Spring Mountain (Josh?), lol.

You are correct and I just got an allocation with Andrea at Anderson Cadillac. Apparently only 192 now.

I believe it is 192 for the US market and 8 for outside of the US.

I was 'offered' one as well. It's $15K+ above my current build, so I'm still undecided.

Unless you love that color, don't waste the extra money. Buy it if you love it, but don't pay for the "rarity" factor.

$26,995 sounds like a lot. But the standard cost of all options included in the package other than paint is $24,830. So the Deep Ocean Tintcoat paint cost is effectively $2,165. That is $940 more than the cost of the Radiant Red Tintcoat paint. Assuming you would have normally ordered all of the options in the package anyway, under $1k extra for a limited edition package is not bad. Especially if you are a fan of the unique blue theme.

Building the identical car with red seatbelts.

My current build is Coastal Blue, which is why the salesperson reached out to see if I would consider the Deep Ocean [blue].

I missed the black wheel locks. Good catch. I just assumed if you optioned black lugs, you also got block wheel locks. Apparently not so.

You missed the gloss block name plates ($295). So total option cost without paint is $24,960. Assuming Blue Ocean tintcoat is valued at the same as the red tintcoat, then the package premium is $810.

The big caveat is that you would want to have normally ordered all of the things included in the package for it to really only be worth that small premium to you.

I am old enough to remember when a package was valued at less then the total cost of the individual options. That was the allure of the package - it was a cost savings. Now they call it a “special edition” and charge you more. Ugh.

Another potential "value" is being able to get a confirmed allocation/build date.

In my case, I am fairly far down the list, but if I want to spend the extra money (basically CF2 and Full Semi-Aniline Leather/Carbon Seats) I can get one 'now' instead of waiting and hoping an allocation comes up for my regular build.
